Yangon: A military plane has crashed in Myanmar, killing 12 people. Six of the dead were soldiers and six were Buddhist monks. The plane crashed near Mandalay in Myanmar this morning. The pilot and a passenger were injured in the crash. The plane was flying from the capital Naipida to the town of Pyin Oo LWIN when it crashed. The plane crashed around 8 am local time. The military-owned Myawadi Television reported that it was traveling at an altitude of 984 feet at the time of the accident.

The soldiers and monks who were to attend the ceremony at the monastery were killed. An investigation has been launched into the incident. Myanmar has been in turmoil for the past five years since Aung San Suu Kyi’s elected government was ousted in a military coup in February 2020.

According to this, private hospitals can charge up to Rs 1,410 for the Covaxin of Bharat Biotech. The Ministry of Health said that the price will be reviewed regularly and action will be taken against those who charge more than the allowable rate.

Wood robbery in Wayanad: No stay for investigation

Kochi: There is no stay for the investigation in the Muttil tree robbery case. The court rejected a petition filed by Anto Augustine, the defendant in the case, seeking to stay the investigation.

Director-General of Prosecution TA Shaji told the court that the investigation was at a preliminary stage and that the government had misinterpreted the order and cut down the trees on a large scale. The government said the case was highly linked and only the tip of the iceberg came out and revenue officials were in suspension.

Justice Narayana Pisharody considered the petition to stop the police investigation. The case alleges massive logging under the guise of an order from the Revenue Department to cut down trees other than sandalwood from the land.
It has been found that 101 trees have been cut down from South Muttil in Wayanad. It is reported that 15 crores worth of trees has been cut down.

The appointment follows a vacancy in the Central Election Commission (CEC) panel following the retirement of Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora. Anup Chandra Pandey is a retired IAS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Anup Chandra Pandey, who was given a six-month extension as Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary, retired in August 2019. Anup Chandra Pandey is a 1948 batch IAS officer.

Pak train mishap: Death toll rises to 65

Karachi: The death toll in a collision between two passenger trains in southern Pakistan has risen to 65. 100 people were injured. The incident happened on Monday morning between the Reti-Dharki stations in Upper Sindh.  

Millt Express from Karachi to Sargodha derailed and collided with another train, Sarsayid Express, running on the adjoining track. About 14 bogies of the Millat Express crashed, killing women, children, and railway employees.

Vaccination; Spot registration available for those going abroad: Minister Veena George

Thiruvananthapuram: Minister Veena George said that spot registration is available at vaccination centers for those who want to go abroad.

For this, a passport and visa should be produced at the vaccination center. After instructing all District Medical Officers to make the vaccine available to those who produce documents. He told the assembly that this should be strictly enforced.

KSRTC will resume long-distance bus service in the state from tomorrow
