Thiruvananthpuram: The meteorological department has forecast low pressure in the Bay of Bengal tomorrow. The monsoon, which continues to be weak today and tomorrow, will be active by Saturday. This is because the low-pressure area that will form tomorrow in the Bay of Bengal is getting stronger.

A yellow alert was declared in 13 districts except for Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, and Palakkad on Saturday. Rain warning was issued in 13 districts on Sunday. Heavy rain is forecast for Monday. Orange alert was declared in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts on Monday. The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has directed the public and government agencies to be vigilant.

The Kerala coast is prone to strong winds and high waves up to a maximum of 50 kmph. Fishing off the coast of Kerala was completely banned from Friday to Monday. The Disaster Management Authority (DMA) has directed the authorities to evacuate the affected areas as there is a risk of seasickness.
