Pala election; Counting on Friday

Pala: The by-elections in Pala ended. 71.26 percent polling was recorded. Things have slowed down since the afternoon due to heavy rain. Counting is scheduled for Friday.

When the polling began in the morning, there was a long line of voters in the booths. By ten o’clock, the turnout had crossed 20 percent. But as the afternoon rains were heavy, the turnout dropped.

With 70% voting till 6 pm, the three fronts are expected to be in favor. There are a total of 1, 79,107 voters. In the last Assembly election, the polling percentage was 77.25%.

Yellow Alert in four districts Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: The rain is expected to hit the state again. The meteorological department said that isolated heavy rains are likely from Tuesday. Yellow Alert was declared on Tuesday in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Idukki and Malappuram districts. Yellow Alert has been announced in eight districts on Wednesday and nine districts on Thursday.

The Yellow Alert has been announced because of the potential for low pressure on the Andhra coast. The meteorological department has warned fishermen that not to go fishing. Earlier, the meteorological department had forecast heavy rains in Kerala causing minor stress in the Gujarat coast.

Earlier, there was a warning that monsoon season will be extended till October 15. The southwest monsoon is expected to end by the 30th of this month. However, the meteorological department said the monsoon is likely to continue till October 15.

Pakistan has withdrawn its mandatory face cover for students

Peshawar: Northwestern Pakistan has canceled a law requiring female students to wear face cover. The Pakistan Education Authority Act was canceled following fierce protests on social media.

Last week, the Peshawar district education authorities ordered the students to wear a hijab in northwestern cities like Haripur and Peshawar.

According to officials, the mask was meant to prevent girls from being subjected to immoral attacks in schools. Meanwhile, progressive and feminist organizations have come out in support of the repeal of the decision.

Kochi: Tickets for the Kochi Metro passengers have been reduced. Twenty percent discount has been announced. Kochi Metro has announced an 18- 50 percent reduction in fares for passengers till 18th of this month. However, Metro has announced that the existing offer to expire tomorrow,  has been extended to 30. Last Thursday, the number of people traveling on the metro exceeded one lakh. This is the first time that the number of passengers crossing one lakh passengers per day.

Two terrorist attacks in Afghanistan; 48 deaths

Kabul: At least 48 people were killed in Afghanistan’s twin blast. At least 26 people have been killed in a suicide bomber attack near Afghan President Ashraf Gani’s election rally in Charikar in northern Kabul. 31 people were injured. Four of those killed were soldiers. The attack in Kabul killed 22 people. 38 people were injured.

Sources close to the president said the president was not hurt. The attack took place shortly before the Ashraf rally was addressed. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. The Taliban, a terrorist group, is creating a deadly atmosphere in Afghanistan to prevent people from voting in Kabul on the 28th. The security has also been increased as the Taliban threatens to attack polling stations and election rallies. The US had peace talks with the Taliban but had failed.

Actress attack: The footage on the memory card is a document

New Delhi: Actor Dileep’s plea seeking a copy of the memory card featuring the actress in the attack case has been postponed by the Supreme Court.

The government also demanded that the copy of the footage, should not be handover to the accused respecting the actress’s privacy.

Is it necessary to obtain the documents of the case to prove the innocence of the accused? Khanwalkar asked the bench to preside but the actress vehemently opposed the giving of footage.

Senior advocate R S Nair, appearing on behalf of the actress, said that though the case was supposed to be handed over to the accused, the special circumstances of the case should be considered. Basant pointed out. Deciding to give visuals can have serious consequences. As the defendant has the right to access the documents, his privacy must also be protected. Privacy is his fundamental right. There is no objection to viewing or examining the visuals in court according to the actress said. The actress also said that she will not oppose to checking the visuals with the expert for the accused.

Dileep said that the scenes on the memory card had been manipulated and he wanted a copy of the footage to prove his innocence. The memory card is crucial. The defendant is entitled to receive the document. Dileep also said that the credibility of visuals should be verified on its own.

Dileep had approached the Supreme Court challenging the trial court and the High Court’s decision to appear in court. The case is still pending until Dileep’s plea is settled.

Four Sikhs drowned to death in Italy’s sewage tank

Rome: Four Indians have died after falling into a sewage tank in Italy. The incident occurred on a cattle farm in northern Italy. It is believed that the cause of death may be carbon dioxide inhalation from the tank.

The accident occurred at the Cattle Farm at Arena Po, near Pavia in southern Milan. Two of the dead were brothers. The deceased is Prem (48) and Tarsem Singh (45). The workers were identified as Arminder Singh (29) and Majinder Singh (28).

The other three men came to the site to save the man who was cleaning the sewer. The wives were searched after they were found missing for lunch. The firefighters were then notified and they arrived at the site and found bodies. It is the largest cattle farm in the region.
