KJ Yesudas is facing the camera for the first time in his career for a special role.The movie titled ‘Cleopatra’ is directed by Rajan Sankaradi , a message-oriented film to be produced by TKR Nair under the banner of Pioneer Worldwide Pictures. The film would be simultaneously made in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.

There will be three heroines — Aishwathi, Prema and Pooja Sharma —and it is suspense who would be the Cleopatra.” Vineeth and Manoj K Jayan are playing heroes in the film.

Superstar Mohanlal will once again play a character in the scripts of the veteran M T Vasudevan Nair. He is expected to play the role of ‘Upagupthan’ in the new project scripted by M T Vasudevan Nair, based on Kumaranasan’s renowned work ‘Karuna’.

Director Harikumar will call the shots for this movie .Mohanlal and MT had  worked together  in many films in their 30 years in films, of which films like Panchagni, Uyarangalil, Rangam, Amritham Gamaya, Uyarangalil, Idanilangal, Adiyozhukkukal, Sadhayam, Thazhvaram and Aalkootathl Thaniye were critically applauded.

Shwetha Menon has been named for the year’s ‘Srividya Puraskaram’. Instituted by the MLV Sreevidya Charitable Society, the actress was selected for her performance in the film ‘Palery Manickyam: Oru Pathira Kolapathakathinte Katha’.

Shwetha is the third recipient of this award, the previous being the National award winners Meera Jasmine and Priyamani.The award will be handed over to the actress in a grand event organised by society in the month of December.
