Young star Bala will lead the cast lines of the sequels of the much discussed movie ‘Kannur’.

Directed by Hairdas Keshavan and produced by Keypon films,this political movie will tell the fate of the party men who are forced to live inside the restrictions, imposed by the cadre party in the so called party villages.

‘Vendum Kannur’ also features Kalabhavan Mani, Suraj Venjaramood, Jagathy Sreekumar, Janardhanan, Saikumar, Risabava, Mamukkoya, Augustine, Sadiq, Tony, Chalipala, Kiranraj, Shwetha Menon, Vani Viswanath, Urmila Unni, Usha and Ponnamma Babu in important cast lines.

Young director Lijo Jose Pellissery who made a promising debut with ‘Nayakan’, has managed to bring in star brothers Indrajith and Prithviraj as the leads of his new movie. Titled as ‘City of God’ this movie will also feature Rima Kallingal, Swetha Menon and Priyanka in the female lead. Babu Janardhanan will pen the script for ‘City of God’ while Anil Mathew will produce the movie under the banner of Mary Matha Productions.

Sarath Kumar has become very hot in Malayalam after receiving critical acclaim and box-office success with Pazhassi Raja.

The actor is now doing Christian Brothers with Mohanlal and Oridathaoru Postman, with Kunchacko Boban.

Now once again Sarath is going to do a action movie in Malayalam as solo hero titled Metro, which will be produced by Malayalam top star Dileep’s Grand Productions and directed by debutant Vyasan Edavanakad.

Sarath Kumar will play a police circle inspector. Five young actors will also debut in the film in important roles.

The producers of the movie ‘Christian Brothers’ is planning to release the big movie by the 18th of October. One of the biggest multi starers of all time, the movie will feature Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Dileep and Sarath Kumar in key roles.

The story of the movie revolves around a retired and well-to-do army officer, Palomattathu Varghese Mappila and his family. Mohanlal plays Christy who is an informer, working in Mumbai and getting high amount as remuneration while Dileep play his brother Joji who goes abroad to study theology. Kaniha and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy play their sisters. The storyline by Sibi K Thomas and Udaya Krishnan goes through many interesting twists and turns, as usual with the other films of veteran Joshy. Produced by A V Anoop and Maha Subair, the movies also feature Kavya Madhavan, Manoj K Jayan, Lakshmi Rai and Biju Menon.

The much expected Prithviraj movie ‘Anwar ‘ has finalised its release dates for the 15th of October.

The movie which tells a story about terrorism is directed by Amal Neerad. Earlier planned for July, the movie release was later scheduled for Ramzan. But the producers Red carpets, has to postpone the release for another week as the post production works of the movie is not yet over.

Featuring Mamtha Mohandas and Prakash Raj in other key roles, the movie is slated to post another stylish avatar of Prithviraj on screen.
