Review
As we all know, this is not the time for serious films. The genre that consistently brings success is comedy. V.K Prakah, Malayali’s new Priyadarshan, has learned the trick of trade and started making comedy films for the masses.
Three Kings is the story of 3 cousins who detest each other and their expedition to find a lost treasure. Ram (Kunchako), Bhasi (Indrajith) and Shankar (Jayasurya) born in royal family as cousins on the same day loves to make each other’s life a hell. Infamous Silsila and Kerala’s own Sreeshanth were made fun of in this film too.
In Three Kings Indrajith wears a happy go lucky comedy face and takes away most of the laughs. For Kunchako this is another hit after seniors and Jayasurya is marvelous though not miraculous as he like people to call him. Samvritha, Sandya and Ann have done their roles which elicit laugher. These dumb but beautiful girls have brought a lot of laughter. The director had made fun of their stylized English. Suraj and Salim Kumar were hilarious as usual. Former comedy King Jagathy was able to bring some laughter.
Script writer Y.V Rajesh has shown enormous creativity and has made his work a comedy classic. The film has made fun of many other films. Three Kings though comedy, cannot be compared with recent hit Seniors as it has a unique V.K Prakash signature all over it.
The posters which promised fun have done its job. The show allover Kerala were houseful and people had a good time. The comedies in plane, satirist approach on serials are unique. The film’s treatment is in line of CID Moosa. Special effects are used convincingly. The camera by Venu and editing by Mahesh Narayanan matches the mood.
From audience it can be inferred that the climax portion needed more trimming especially fight, adventures and speech. Viewers don’t expect anything serious in these kinds of films. Viewers dearly miss Suraj in the climax.
V. K Prakash takes a lot less time than many other directors as his shoots are perfectly planned, which makes him popular among producers. 3 Kings is shot in 35 days.
Through this film V.K Prakash has proved to be a consistent and successful commercial director. Three Kings with its above average entertainment value will bring in children and their parents back to theatres and will be a mega hit.

when somebody remake/copy a malayalam movie to hindi our media will give lot of hipe. but when movies are directly copying from hindi to malayalam people are hiding the facts and the writers, directors and actors tell all such of non-sense about the stories and movies. you can clearly notice the recent copies

One of the Crapiest movie with a good title. How can this director come up with such a nonsense script; and more imp. the three lady cast specifically Ann – a big time failure – Totally A Big Zero Movie!!
It’s a brainless comedy, but a complete entertainer. A definite one time watch. You keep your brains out and watch the movie… You’ll have lots of fun. And that’s how you enjoy Charlie Chaplin and Mr. Bean. A brave attempt by V K Prakash. Many scenes in the second half have been copied from the hindi movie Dhamaal, but that doesn’t make it boring.

Very Very boring Movie.
It’d be good for children (who watches tom & jerry) only. The Most boring, Nonsense and worst movie i had ever seen. The director had shown his signature by making it the most worst one, actually worst than his previous gulumal.
One more proof that Directors who doesn’t have common sense and thos who haven’t passed LKG, can’t make a film. It’s like a seriel or stage show, just some worst direction and some comedies, that MAY make u laugh ! 🙁

2nd half is just remake of 2007 hindi film ‘dhamaal’.
Better to watch it in ‘zee cinema’ instead of wasting your money for this dumb film.
The first half has been a fun ride though with Indrajith, Kunchakko Boban and Jayasurya excelling each other, but losses its charm going forward and turns ugly towards the end. Anyway V.K.P. manages to wind up the show somehow, before further damage.
Three Kings is likely to get popular among the kids with Tom & Jerry kind of stuffs and may manage a decent business in BO. Go for it only if you can leave your brain outside, sit back and take it easy. For others it’s a strict NO.

Those who have doubt, jst watch the 2nd half of film ‘dhamaal’…. As a comedy entertainer the movie is excellent. All the 3 Kings have acted very well. Ann is the best among the queens..
Very boring movie, Indrajit seems okay among the Kings and Ann worst among the queens.
