Kalyan Jewellers launches 2 new showrooms in India

Kochi, 16th January, 2020: Kalyan Jewellers, one of India’s largest jewellery brands has launched two new showrooms in India, this month. The jewellery brand has launched its 1st boutique outlet in South India which is located at Phoenix Market city in Bengaluru on 9th January 2020. In addition to this, Kalyan Jewellers has launched its 1st exclusive showroom for wedding jewellery on 10th January 2020. The Chandigarh showroom was inaugurated by the brand’s regional ambassador for the state of Punjab – Wamiqa Gabbi.  

The showroom launches would strengthen the brand’s position in the key markets of Bengaluru and Chandigarh in India. The opening of the new showrooms brings to 144 the total number of showrooms globally and is in line with the brand’s strategy to increase accessibility for customers in major markets. After successfully entering new markets, the brand is working towards fuelling growth in existing metro markets.

‘Dhamaka’ to be released in GCC countries from tomorrow

Dhamaka is the latest film directed by Omar Lulu after an Adar Love. The film will premiere on January 16th at GCC. Arun is the hero of the movie. Arun was a child artist who conquered the minds of Malayalees through the movie Olympian Anthony Adam. He later appeared in several films as a child actor. The film premiered on January 2 in Kerala.

The heroine of the film is Nikki Galrani. The villain in the film is Sabu Mon. Dharmajan, Neha Saxena, Innocent and Salim Kumar are playing pivotal role in the film.

Thiruvananthapuram: Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Kerala to participate in a campaign in the state in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

BJP general secretary Arun Singh has said this.

He said that the political parties which oppose the Citizenship Amendment Act is trying to divide the people with the wrong message and that the law will not harm any citizen in the country.

Amit Shah is coming here to participate in the campaign for the Citizenship Amendment Act in Kozhikode under the leadership of RSS. However, it is unclear as to his visit.

Earlier, it was rumored that Amit Shah would be coming to Kerala to participate in an RSS-led campaign in the state from January 15 to 25.

However, due to the announcement of the dates of the assembly polls in Delhi, the visit was postponed. The Muslim Youth League has announced a protest against Amit Shah after news of Amit Shah’s participation in the Malabar region.

Thiruvananthapuram: The main accused in the murder of the ASI at the Kalyikavila on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border has been arrested. Abdul Shameer and Taufeeq were arrested on Tuesday as the investigation into the murder of ASI Wilson, who was on duty at the check post, continued. Tamil Nadu police have arrested the accused from Udupi railway station premises.

Srinagar: Eight people have died in a major avalanche in Jammu and Kashmir. Three of the dead were soldiers. Heavy snowfall is continuing in parts of North Jammu and Kashmir including Kupwara Baramulla. The soldiers who were deployed in the area died.

Also, the search for two missing soldiers following the snowstorm is continuing. Officials said four people were rescued during the night’s rescue operation.

Five people were killed in a snowstorm in Sonmarg. Two soldiers were killed in a snowstorm in Baramulla last week.

Two Maradu flats successfully demolished; The second stage is tomorrow

Kochi: Two of the four flats that were ordered to be demolished were successfully demolished. After months of planning and inspection, two of the flats were demolished today. The remaining two flats will be demolished tomorrow.

Centre Notifies Provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Act

New Delhi: Citizenship Amendment Act came into force. The Union Home Ministry has issued a notification in this regard. Rule with come in effect from yesterday. The law is intended to grant citizenship to minority groups who have sought refuge in the country under religious persecution in neighboring countries.

 Before 2014, the law was introduced to grant citizenship to minorities from neighboring countries who came to India. The bill was passed by Parliament on the 11th of last month.

Bus Accident; 20 killed, 21 injured in UP

Lucknow: A bus collided with a moving truck in Kanauj in Uttar Pradesh killed 20 people. National media reports that 20 people were killed in the accident.  A private double-decker sleeper bus crashed on GT Road in Gino. The crash happened Friday night. There were 46 people on the bus.

At least 21 people were injured and taken to a hospital. The plight of many is serious. The bus was on its way from Jaipur to Gurshaganj in Kanauj.

Kanpur Range Inspector General Mohit Agarwal said that no one was found alive inside the bus. Many were asleep at the time of the accident. The inability to open doors and windows increased the severity of the accident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to those killed in the accident. The Prime Minister tweeted: “I hope the injured return to life soon.” Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi offered condolences.

Eyewitnesses said the bus was overloaded at the time of the accident. There were plenty of passengers. Only 12 people could get off the bus. Eyewitnesses said everyone else was trapped inside. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today directed officials to ensure adequate treatment for the injured. CM offered compensation of 2 lakh for the family of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 for the injured and sought a report from the authorities.
