Kochi: Two of the four flats that were ordered to be demolished were successfully demolished. After months of planning and inspection, two of the flats were demolished today. The remaining two flats will be demolished tomorrow.
The two flats were successfully demolished with the help of the government and the best technicians in the country. The first siren was sounded at 10:30 am, just ahead of the flat demolition.
Before this, the two-flats had evacuated the entire 200-meter radius. The police blocked all the small roads in the area.
However, with both flats being successfully demolished, the Thevara-Kundannur road and other roads in the area were opened to traffic. Only after inspection by the police and firefighters in the area will the public be allowed into the area.
