New Delhi: The Union Health Department has asked the government to admit not only those who are covid positive but also those with symptoms. The Department of Health has revised the criteria for admission of patients to covid clinics in the wake of the rising number of deaths due to covid in the country.

The Union Health Ministry said in a statement that the guidelines have been revised to ensure better treatment for all patients affected by covid.

Important suggestions are:

A positive result is not required for admission to one of the covid treatment centers. People with covid symptoms should be admitted to observation wards and treatment should be ensured.

Under no circumstances should the patient refuse treatment. Hospitals should ensure oxygen and emergency medications for patients in any area.
Non-residents within the hospital stay should also be treated.
The only criteria for admission to a hospital should be whether a person needs treatment. Those who do not require inpatient treatment should be discharged if they are hospitalized.
The Department of Health said the revised standard applies to all hospitals in the country, including the private sector, which treats covid patients.
