Islamabad: Pakistan has tightened controls as the second wave of the Covid virus continues to rage. Therefore, travel bans have been imposed on people from 26 countries, including India. The National Command and Operations Center in Pakistan has made it clear that 26 countries are included in the category. Countries that impose a travel ban are included in the C category. Strict restrictions have now been imposed on the entry of citizens from other countries into Pakistan.
New Delhi: The CBSE Class XII guidelines for determining marks may be ready in two days. Indications are that the guidance will take into account the marks of class X and class XI. Government sources said the guideline would be submitted to the court soon.
It is recommended to give 30% weightage to 10th class, 30% to 11th class and the rest to 12th class internal marks. The guideline will be implemented with the approval of the court. CBSE plans to complete the marks and publish the results by July 15.
In a meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the CBSE was directed to have an impeccable system for determining marks. The ten-member committee formed for this purpose has been holding detailed meetings for the last ten days. The position of all the schools was known through the sister society. The position of the UGC and higher education institutions was sought. Finally, it is recommended to give weightage marks.
Chennai: The Coast Guard has stepped up surveillance along the Tamil Nadu coast following a tip-off that a boat carrying weapons from Sri Lanka had returned to the Rameshwaram coast.
According to the Tamil Nadu Police, the information has been passed on to Kerala. Armed security forces have been deployed along the coasts of Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Rameshwaram, and Chennai.

Beijing: Gas pipeline explosion in central China has killed at least 12 people and injured 138, national media reported on CCTV. The incident happened afternoon in the Shian city of Hubei province.
More than 150 people were evacuated from the area following the accident. Of the injured, 37 are in critical condition. The incident took place around 6.30 am local time on Sunday. Local media reported that the market building was destroyed in the blast.
At the time of the incident, people were shopping here for breakfast and groceries. They are the ones who are in trouble. Municipal officials had earlier said several people were trapped under the building. They were rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics.

New Delhi: Intelligence agencies have said that bringing Islamic State militants back to India is a security threat. There is evidence that suicide bombers were trained, including women. The government’s move is to take legal action if the matter goes to court.
Former Ambassador KP Fabian had demanded the return of those who had joined IS. Fabian said there was no legal reason not to return and that other concerns were unfounded as he would be in custody in the country.

Srinagar: Two jawans were martyred in a terrorist attack in Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Two locals were killed in the attack. Three people, including a policeman, were injured.
Terrorists opened fire on a CRPF group and police in the town of Sopore in Baramulla. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital and a policeman was taken to a military camp.

New Delhi: The Center has said that there is no need to change the interval between two doses of the Covishield vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute. The Center said it would consider changing the vaccine interval only after conducting scientific studies in the Indian context. It was reported yesterday that reducing the interval between two doses of the vaccine would increase its effectiveness. This was followed by an explanation from the Central Government.
NITI Ayog member VK Paul said there was no need to worry about intervals between vaccine doses. There is no immediate change in vaccine interval. The interval was increased to give at least one dose of vaccine to the maximum number of people. He added that this has enabled many people to be vaccinated.
He added that changes in vaccine intervals should be made only after seeking expert advice. There have been reports that increasing the dosage of the Covshield vaccine may have the opposite effect. This was followed by an explanation from the Central Government.
