The first phase of polling in the country was completed in 91 constituencies. Over 55 percent of voting took place. Two people were killed in a clash in Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad: Two dead in clashes between YSR Congress and TDP leaders in Andhra Pradesh. The incident took place today in the village of Meerapuram in Ananthapuri.

There were clashes in Lok Sabha elections and the assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh were also reported. Meanwhile, the candidate who came to vote threw out the voting machine. Janasena’s party candidate Madhusudan Gupta threw out voting machine. He is a candidate from Gootty Assembly seat in Anantapur district.

Belgium: The time for Britain extended again for deciding whether to continue in the European Union. The new time limit is October 31.

The new decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the European Union in Brazil, which gave time to the exit of Britain. Britain had asked for time until June 30.

The UK had to leave the European Union on Friday, according to the existing agreement. 17 countries including Germany endorsed the time extending. But France opposed it.

The sensor board granted permission to release the film. U certified film was directed by Omang. The Supreme Court Tuesday rejected the petition seeking ban the film. The Court also observed that the film violates the Mode of Code Conduct rests in Election Commission.

Following this, the EC banned the film from releasing.

The film is a biopic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The leading role of Modi is acted by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi.

Land Row; Case Charged against Cardinal Mar George Alencherry

Kochi: Police have registered a case against Cardinal Mar George Alencherry in the land dealings of the Syro Malabar Church. The Ernakulam Central police had filed a case under the direction of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Ernakulam.

The petition filed by Pappachan from Ernakulam pointed out that crores of rupees have been lost due to the sale of the land of the Archdiocese. The case has been registered against 26 persons including Mar George Alencherry, Fr. Joshi Puthuva, and intermediary Saju Varghese. Conspiracy and cheating have been imposed.

There have now been seven cases in different Courts against Cardinal.
