Sukma: Encounter between the Naxals and the District Reserve Guard. The firing was in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. The incident occurred in a forested area adjoining the village of Arlampally near the Pollampalli police station limits.

The body of an unidentified man was recovered from the scene of the shooting. Also, the rifle and hand grenade were seized.

3G, 4G internet services ban in Kashmir extended till 24

Srinagar: The ban on 3G and 4G internet services in Jammu and Kashmir has been extended till the 24th of this month.

Authorities have said that some people are deliberately trying to break the peace in the valley and that is why the Internet has been extended.

But the current 2G services will continue. Only 1400 government-approved websites are available through 2G services. 2G services have been launched in Kashmir since the last 24th.

The Jammu and Kashmir Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a statement that people should not use the Internet in contravention of the state’s interests.

The 2G network services were launched on January 24, five months after the repeal of Article 370, which gave Kashmir a special status.

Kochi: Conflict in St. Stephen’s Jacobite Church, following the Supreme Court’s verdict implement. The Orthodox clergy and believers entered the church, which led to the clash.

Following the Supreme Court verdict, three times Orthodox community members came to the Church. However, following strong opposition from the Jacobite sects, they had to return. The Orthodox section then approached the High Court demanding the execution of the verdict.

Kochuparambil Geevarghese Ramban offered the Mass at the Orthodox Church, who entered the church with the help of the police. Meanwhile, the Jacobite Church is marching to Koothatukulam police station. Twenty Jacobite believers have been arrested and are in the station.

The Center is preparing to hold talks with the states on implementation of NPR

New Delhi: Center government to hold talks with the state on implementing National Population Register. The state disagrees to implement the NPR to talk with Central Government in this matter. Ahead of the meeting, Registrar General and Census Commissioner will meet Chief Ministers of concerned states.

NPR processes to be done within April to September month. Meanwhile, states including Kerala disagree to implement NPR. This is followed by the resolution talks.

Besides Kerala, West Bengal and states Congress in ruling disagree to implement NPR.

PM invited to Kejriwal’s swearing-in ceremony

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to the swearing-in ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal’s third cabinet. Kejriwal’s swearing-in ceremony will be held at Ramlila Maidan on Sunday. The Aam Aadmi Party won 62 seats in the 70-member assembly. The BJP won only eight seats. The Congress did not win a single seat.

The Aam Aadmi Party had earlier announced that it would not invite the chief ministers and political party leaders of other states for the swearing-in ceremony. The public was only invited to the event.

Thiruvananthapuram: The government released suggestions in the wake of the heatwave. The people who do outdoor jobs have to be extremely careful about the situation where the sunshine is increasing. They should avoid the works from 12 am to 3 pm.

The Labor Commissioner has issued an order that daytime rest between 12 noon and 3 pm. This order applies from February 20 to April 30. The ordinance does not apply in areas prone to sunburns greater than 3000 feet above sea level. The people directed to inform about such violations, reports said.
