Malappuram: Senior Congress leader and former minister Aryadan Muhammad passed away. He was 87 years old. He was under treatment due to diseases inherent to old age.

He represented his constituency Nilambur eight times and reached the Legislative Assembly. He was Minister of Power and Forest in various governments.

He became active in politics as a Congress member in 1952. He became a member of KPCC in 1958. Worked as President of Malappuram District Congress Committee and various Trade Unions.

Born on 15 May 1935 in Nilambur. He has held leadership positions in various trade unions. He entered politics in 1952 as a Congress member. Member of KPCC since 1958. Worked as President of Malappuram District Congress Committee and various Trade Unions.
He was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly from the Nilambur Assembly constituency in 1977, 1980, 1987, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, and 2011. He was the Labor and Forest Minister in the EK Nayanar Cabinet during 1980-82.

He served as Labor and Tourism Minister in the AK Antony Cabinet in the 9th Legislative Assembly and as Power Minister in the Oommen Chandy Cabinet (2004-06). Aryadan Muhammad is a person who has often been in the media for opposing the Muslim League leaders and the League’s positions.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate said that the Popular Front had prepared a plan to attack Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar. The plan was to attack the Prime Minister during a rally in Patna on July 12. The ED also alleged that a special training camp was organized by the Popular Front for this purpose.

The plan to attack Modi has been explained in the remand report of Shefiq Payeth, a Popular Front activist of Kannur Peringathur, who was arrested in a case registered by the Enforcement Directorate. The remand report also states that terrorist groups were formed to carry out simultaneous attacks on some prominent and strategic places in Uttar Pradesh besides the Prime Minister.

The remand report contains serious allegations against Shafiq, a Malayali. He was working in a company in Qatar. Funds for terrorist activities were raised through these connections. According to the ED report, a total of Rs 120 crore was collected from abroad for terrorist activities and evidence of this was found.

Kochi: Actor Sreenath Bhasi will be questioned on Monday. The police registered a case on the complaint of a private YouTube channel host. The anchor filed a complaint against Sreenath Bhasi in the incident of abuse during the interview.
A case was registered by the Maradu police on the complaint of abuse during the interview. The anchor filed the complaint through email.
According to the complaint, the abuse took place during an interview related to the promotion of the film ‘Chattambi’. Maradu police registered a case against Sreenath Bhasi on the charge of insulting womanhood.

Pathanamthitta:  Suspect who pelted stones at KSRTC bus in Pandalam arrested. Sanoj, a resident of Kartikapally, was arrested. He was arrested by the Pandalam police.

Two PFI activists were arrested for threatening a shop owner in Taliparamba. Ansar and Jamsheer, natives of Panniyur, were arrested. Thaliparambu CI recorded the arrest.

Kochi: Following the NIA investigation, the arrested Popular Front leaders have been remanded in custody till the 30th of this month. The accused should be produced in the court at 11 am on the 30th. 11 leaders were released into custody. The court accepted the NIA’s demand for seven days in custody. The NIA also reiterated the serious allegations mentioned in the remand report in the custody application.
The accused were brought to the NIA court in Kochi at 11 o’clock. 

Kozhikode: A tribal girl from Uttar Pradesh was gang-raped by four migrant workers. The girl whom he met on the train was brought to a hotel room in Kozhikode and tortured.

The accused were caught when they tried to pass by leaving the girl on the railway platform. Police arrested four people from Uttar Pradesh in the incident. Iqrar Alam, Ajaj, Shakeel Shah, and Irshad were arrested.

Thiruvananthapuram: Transport Minister Antony Raju said that strict action will be taken against the violence against KSRTC buses. The minister said that strict action will be taken against the violence.
Minister Antony Raju announced that compensation will be collected from the attackers and the services will continue in the police security.
