Actor and influencer Ahana Krishna has broken her silence following severe social media backlash directed at her family. The controversy erupted after Tanvi, the daughter of Sindhu Krishna’s sister, posted a YouTube video featuring Ahana’s maternal grandmother, who claimed she was left entirely isolated after her husband’s death. In the video, Tanvi mentioned quitting her managerial job in Canada to return to India to care for her.
Hitting back at the claims, Ahana revealed that her grandmother has always been a difficult person to get along with. She shared that despite tolerating a lot due to her age, the family chose to distance themselves after the grandmother resorted to unforgivable character assassination. Ahana clarified that this estrangement happened even before her grandfather passed away.
Detailing the issues, Ahana stated that between September and March, at least 15 home nurses left their job because they couldn’t tolerate her grandmother’s behavior. The final straw came during her grandfather’s illness when a home nurse called crying because the grandmother wouldn’t let her inside the house while the grandfather was bleeding from his nose. Ahana noted that Tanvi was fully aware of these issues and had even supported Ahana when a hurtful voice note from the grandmother was shared in the family group. Expressing disappointment, Ahana questioned why Tanvi chose to use family internal drama as social media “content.”
