Gulf Airlines tighten luggage rule; Free baggage limit reduced, more Regulations

0

Dammam:  Gulf Airlines hits back at ex-pats. With the return of the airline to its old level, more regulations have been put in place.

Gulf Airlines has reportedly tightened its baggage allowance by lowering the free baggage limit and charging extra for multiple bags and limiting hand luggage to one.

These concessions are being made to cope with rising fuel prices. Some airlines, which used to offer 30 kg free luggage in economy class, have now reduced it to 25 kg. Different packages are now being offered, including luggage, with and without luggage.

At the same time, some airlines on UAE routes charge more than 15-20 dirhams (Rs. 311-414) for each extra bag if there is more than the allotted limit. Thus, in the past, laptops and other personal items were allowed in addition to hand luggage, but now it is strictly advised not to weigh more than 7 kg, including duty-free items.

Even a kilo will cost extra. Budget airlines have also tightened the rules, but some even allow extra luggage at a cheaper rate when picking up a ticket.

At the same time, some airlines are offering facilities for booking multiple seats (double seat, triple seat) and carrying an additional 10 kg of luggage. These will be cheaper than the airport fare and will also avoid the airport charge.

ANALYSIS OF STORY, DIRECTION, SCREENPLAY AND DIALOGUES:

KGF Chapter 2 is the sequel of KGF Chapter 1 which was released on the 21st of December 2018. The original movie came in the Kannada language and was dubbed into several Indian languages, the movie was a massive box office hit. Now the KGF 2 has been released, directed and written by Prashanth Neel. The movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films and the film is distributed by several production companies. The Kannada version is distributed by Hombale Films through KRF Studios and Jayanna Films. In Tamil Nadu, the film is distributed by Dream Warrior Pictures, in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh the movie is distributed by Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram. In Kerala distribution is through Prithviraj Productions and in North India the Hindi version is distributed by Excel Entertainment and AA Films. With a budget of 100 Crores, the film is now running in theatres with hundred percent occupancy.

Must watch, that’s the perfect word to describe KGF Chapter 2. The journey of Rocky Bhai through the KGF has got an epic conclusion, his thrilling life, his journey to success, his dream and the promises he made were fascinatingly unfolded through this ending. It was an unforgettable cinematic experience, still, the hangover of the film is haunting me. The director Prashanth Neel can be proud, his direction and his script had made this movie brilliant. Without any doubt, I can say that the KGF franchise is one of the finest movies in the Indian film industry. The methods and strategies used by the director Prashanth Neel were extraordinary, the whole movie was giving a different unique cinematic experience. The way he treated the entire film with passionate making proved his brilliance, in the upcoming days he will be ranked among the top filmmakers of India. The success of KFG first lay in the hands of the director, to be honest I couldn’t find any kind of errors in the making and at the writing, both Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of KGF is a faultless works of brilliant execution.

In this Chapter 2, the life of the central character Rocky is once again unfolded, in the first part we have seen his childhood, his mother, his dreams and the promise he made. The second part is all about how he had chased his dream, how he had strengthened his empire, how he had protected his loved ones and how he had fulfilled his mother’s promise. The life of Rocky has given me an amazing experience, every moment was thrilling, and his decision making and his arrogance to conquer the whole world were truly exciting. How the director Prashanth Neel portrayed the character Rocky was marvelous, the prominence which the character Rocky gives to the mind is hard to explain. Here as a director and as a writer, Prashanth Neel’s clever ideologies and thoughts are visible, he was having the exact vision of how to influence the audience. The impact which the character Rocky had given through the mass scene was fantabulous, the director had successfully created the character with the right elements and he was victorious in placing the character Rocky into the mind of viewers. It’s a high octane action film with many emotions and the sentiments and sorrows passed through the film vividly with many flashbacks and subplots. Every subplot and the past which connects the story was having the proper detailing, therefore the movie won’t confuse us, the various occurrences in the story were told in a proper systematic manner.

In Chapter 1, the movie was told through narration, the same formula is also applied in Chapter 2. A small change is Prakash Raj takes the responsibility of telling the narration from Anant Nag. Prakash Raj was superb, so how he narrates the various events to us creates the right amount of curiosity. While watching the film from the first unfolding event the movie was on the right track, the narration was generating the eagerness to know what is next. In this Chapter 2, the central character Rocky is elevated as a hero but soon he will be turned into a legend, a man who can’t be beaten by anyone. How he became like that, what was his path, who all had arrived to hunt him and how did he cross all his enemies will make us wonder, the theatre experience was exhilarating with thrill. An emotional attachment with the characters will be felt while watching the film, the effective way of writing the characters from the maker Prashanth Neel helped to build that connection. The screenplay follows the same track as the first part, like from flashbacks to the present scenario, events are narrated and it comes out authentically to the right standard. The actions done by the hero are told scene after scene, what all he does to establish his empire was outstanding to watch, none of those scenes was missing the pace. All the unfolding events were placed at the right time and it matched every situation and created a big charming impact. The reactions from the audience to those scenes had given me goosebumps, the theatre was filled with whistles and applause.

The director Prashanth Neel had successfully used the acting talents of the actors and it was impressive. Yash and Sanjay Dutt were seen in their full form, both had great energy and the chemistry of a hero and a villain was lustrously shared by them. Here the instruction from a vigilant filmmaker was evident, Prashanth Neel had given the right ideas to every actor on how to perform and the entire cast had done an incredible job. The mother-son relationship in the screenplay was written greatly, the affection and love of a mother and a promise of a son had lifted the film to a great unimaginable extent. The creativity of the director Prashanth Neel needs to be specially mentioned because from the interval punch the movie had entered into another zone. From the second half, the totality of the film was changed into another tone, it was like an international Hollywood film. After watching this film one thing is clear: he had crafted the whole film carefully as per his plans and it had worked out perfectly without errors, an intelligent way of filmmaking was glaringly seen. No kind of lag will be felt at any point, Prashanth Neel had made this movie engaging till the end with the best screenplay. The most interesting part was the climax, while watching the film I was wondering how this movie is going to end and the climax was shocking. The director had given a convincing ending, what will happen to the character Rocky at the end was satisfying and heartwarming. All those scenes were unexpected, not just the climax; the entire second half was not hard to predict. In this movie Prashanth Neel as writer and director excellently kills the predictability, he was giving the unexpected events and occurrences so surprising twists and turns were giving an extra impact to the film.

The political gameplay between the character Rocky and Ramika Sen was highlighted with the best thrilling scenes. The battle between the Prime Minister of India vs an International Criminal was portrayed brilliantly. Those scenes in the second half especially the face to face scene between them were dominating to give the best results of excitement. There was another angle of a love track, the romance between Yash and Srinidhi Shetty was magical, how the hate turned into love was beautifully portrayed and their chemistry was wonderful, the emotional angle at the end was sentimental. How the director Prashanth Neel had created the character heroically deserves a big thumbs up, a mass appeal was all overspread till the end and the actions done by the hero had never gone over-dramatic, strictly the the director had avoided the usual cliches. The dialogues were extremely powerful, all the mass dialogues in the film by Yash were compelling me to blow the whistles. The conversation between the hero and villain was enchanting to give a start to a great fight, the whole dialogue in the film was predominately having the right quality to create an influence. So nothing went wrong, the characterization in the writing went well, the script maintained the right momentum, the screenplay was crammed with the best scenes and then the direction was conquering to give the best result of unbelievable events. Therefore, as I said earlier Prashanth Neel has proved his calibre, the KGF franchise is just the beginning of his spectacular film journey, eagerly looking forward for seeing his upcoming works.

PERFORMANCE OF ACTORS

KGF CHAPTER 2 comprises actors like Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Archana Jois, Malavika Avinash, Rao Ramesh, Saran Shakti, Ramachandra Raju and many more.

Yash a Rocky did a spectacular performance, it was a rocking stellar show and no one can replace him. A sort of influencing performance was delivered throughout by Yash, his energy and his vigorous way of presenting the character were stunning. The attitude he exhibits is what makes his performance unique, his body language, his mannerism and the way he expresses his personality showcase the qualities of a brave fearless hero. His screen presence is unbelievable, his arrival and the things he does will amuse us, scenes to make huge applause are guaranteed by him. The dialogue delivery was perfect with true timing, how he is letting out the dialogue is having a class style of a hero and I was impressed with his dialogue presentation. To perform he was having many in the film and till the end of the film, he had retained a passionate way of acting. His acting was having a proper momentum and nothing artificial was felt in his performance. The way he expressed his bravery and his courageous mannerism also need to be noted because that characteristic trait was never missed from his performance. Not just the acting skills he was also excellent at performing the action sequences. The way he punches the goons, the way he kicks the rogues and the way he fights back against the villain has blown my mind. While watching those scenes I was getting excited, was making a huge noise, the applause was driving through my hands and whistles were coming out, so he gives the best thrilling moments to cherish. There were some sentimental angles on his performance, the mother-son relationship and its emotions was having the ability to make some emotional moments. Also, intense dialogues are the ones that offer us goosebumps, there was a swag style and an unusual strength was felt in his words, so his crucial dialogue turned up to give the heat. So through the dialogues, his conversational words and his active voice have contrived my mind through the theatre experience, a mass feel was enrobing inside the theatre and no doubt that Yash through the character Rocky Bhai had given his best and had made the character unforgettable. A hero needs a villain and that’s what Sanjay Dutt is for, the villain character Adheera played by Sanjay Dutt was one of the best villains of recent times. Not just a tough fight he was dreadful to finish his enemies, his integral decision to take back KGF from Rocky Bhai gives us the biggest fight happening between a hero and villain. Sanjay Dutt’s appearance is the first thing that attracted me, he was like a Viking fighter. The director Prashanth Neel had earlier mentioned that it’s a tribute to the Viking character and he passed it to Sanjay Dutt and it was predominantly matching to his physical appearance. The hairstyle, the dressing pattern and the ornaments used were amazingly suiting for him and his performance made it more enchanting. His facial expressions were clear, with aggressive looks and a daring attitude to finish anyone was profound to show some genuine acting skills. The action sequences were also greatly handled by Sanjay Dutt, his moves and way of fighting with the sword had exhilarated the sensational moments of thrill. Also, his face to face scenes with Yash was outstanding, both shared great chemistry and the hero-villain battle was a treat to watch. Raveena Tandon appears as Ramika Sen to do the role of Prime Minister of India. She was superb, her facial expressions ranked higher and the mannerism which she fetched in her character was justifying the qualities of a Prime Minister. Her character was significant with many surprises, her fight against the hero character Rocky delivers impressive scenes of battle for KGF. In the acting of Raveena Tandon, I was able to find the adequate skills of authentic acting, and she was realistic while performing. For example, her decision making, her stubborn mind to finish the most wanted criminal of India, her uncompromising mind to demolish the villains and her attitude as a sincere politician also her quality of leadership was cleverly acted out and her whole performance was classy. Srinidhi Shetty as Reena Desai was good, to perform she was having moderate but the combination scene with Yash was matched for the situation. Prakash Raj as Vijayendra Ingalagi handles the job of the narrator, not just the narration he is out there to find some secrets. His way of explaining the events and the various past incidents of the central character Rocky was masterly presented and his voice was making it more momentous. Rao Ramesh as Kanneganti Raghavan was nice as the C.B.I Officer and Malavika Avinash as Deepa Hegde, the Chief Editor of 24/news channel was also satisfying and both did complete justice to their respective supporting characters.

MUSIC AND BACKGROUND SCORE

The musical composition for the film is done by Ravi Basru, he was the one who had made the songs for the first part. The film consists of two songs called “Toofan” and “Gagana Nee”. The song “Toofan” was released on 21st March 2022 and now it’s a sensational hit, the lyrics and the beats were extremely powerful in creating a heroic appeal. There are many singers for the song like Mohan Krishna, Anwar Sadath, M.T. Sruthikanth, Vipin Xavier, Prakash Mahadevan, Santhosh Venky, Aishwarya Rangarajan, Giridhar Kamath, Raksha Kamath, Sinchana Kamath, Nishanth Kini, Bharath Bhat, Anagha Nayak, Avani Bhat, Swathi Kamath, Shivanand Nayak, Keerthana Basrur and everyone had great teamwork to make the song influential. The lyrics by Sudhamsu established the bravery of a fearless hero, and the combined vocals by every singer had made the song effective. The second song “Gaganam Nee” sung by Anna Baby was about the love and sacrifice of a mother. The song was emotional and her voice made the song more ravishing to set the affection of motherhood. The lyrics Sudhamsu had many meaningful words like the hard work of a mother, her divine love towards their child, the sacrifices and the promises to look after the child was beautifully written by the lyricist Sudhamsu, the song will remind us that nothing on earth can replace the love of a mother. The song “Sulthana” was ideal to showcase to mass appeal for the character Rocky and the vocals of Deepak Blue, Govind Prasad, Yogisekar, Mohan Krishna, Santhosh Venky, Sachin Basrur, Ravi Basrur, Puneeth Rudranag, Manish Dinakar, Vaish was matching for building it. The song “Mehbooba ” sung by Shreya Ghoshal was romantic, the chemistry of Yash and Srinidhi Shetty was working out due to the song.

The background score of KGF CHAPTER 2 is stunning, one of the major plus factors of this film is its background score. Ravi Basru knew what kind of tunes should be made to impress, according to the type of scene he had given the perfect background scores. So every scene from the beginning to the end was carried with the correct background score to maintain the importance. All the scenes in the movie had the backup of syncing background score, before or after the action the scene is lifted with precise background tunes so one will feel the exact impact of the scene. As an audience I was eager to raise my voice and make whistles for the crucial scenes and the background score will make us more excited to make huge applause. Another winning thing in the work of the background score was the creation of curiosity, what will happen next will make us curious, tense to know the forthcoming scenes was lustrously provided by the background score. The nail-biting and edge on seat moments were plenty so in this scene Ravi Basru gives his best tunes to make us more exhilarated. The signature tunes given for the protagonist and antagonist were also wonderful, the background score was building up their qualities and attitudes, especially the tunes given for Rocky and Adheera. The emotional scene was also carried out by the touching background score, the mother-son relationship was shot beautifully, and the sentimental angle was worked out genuinely by the touching background score.

DUBBING

I had watched the Tamil Version of KGF Chapter 2 and the dubbing was amazing. The entire dubbing was having a proper quality of standard, lip sinking was there but still, it never felt like an issue in the viewing experience. The dubbing of Yash was stylish, and the modulation in various scenes was perfect. The vocal of the dubbing artist was syncing the personality of Yash without any flaws. During the action sequences, the vocals had the depth to showcase the strength of a courageous hero and also in the emotional sequences the dubbing sound had corresponded to the acting of Yash. Sanjay Dutt appears as Adheera, the fearless villain. Whoever had given the voice did a spectacular effort, the voice was extremely dominant and the impact of the voice was unbelievable. The dialogues with Yash, and the conversation which unfolds to take back the KGF was mixed with the exact voice. The dubbing artist had carefully given the voice, the modulation while talking and the timing while having the dialogue come out effectively. The artist who had given voice to the actress Raveena Tandon did an extraordinary job. Her role is one of the most important characters in the film and due to her brilliant performance and also through the equitable dubbing her whole performance was having the power to influence the audience. The intense voice on the dubbing had helped her character to be more strong. The timing of Raveena Tandon’s dubbing was also precise and the emotions were evident through the given voice.

TECHNICAL ASPECTS:

The entire technical division of the KGF Chapter 2 has done a spectacular job on making the technical side richer. The first part itself was amazing, it was hard to believe that the movie came from the Kannada film industry. The same quality was once again brought drastically by the full technical division and the technical aspects is one of the major winning highlights of the KGF Chapter 2.

According to the premise of the film, the visualisation largely focuses on bringing out a particular shade of darker tone and that dark tone makes the visuals of KGF Chapter 2 attractive, the various occurrences in a darker tone are compelling to watch and that’s what makes this movie unique. The credits lie in the court of cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, he was brilliant with his camera work, both in the first part and in the second part he had a marvellous job to make this movie look different. There are numerous wide-angle frames in this film and each of the wide-angle frames were shot stunningly. Through the wide-angle frames, the surroundings of the gold mining area were amusing to watch, their houses, the tents, the machinery filled areas, and the poor hard-working labour was captured by the cinematographer authentically. So the visuals by Bhuvan Gowda had the power to showcase the surroundings of the KGF. It will give us a feel about their present condition, their living style, their helpless situations and their fight for survival was captured sincerely by the cameraman. The approach of the military by the jeeps and by the armed aeroplanes was shot skillfully, those scenes were having many types of shots and among the various shots the wide-angle frames stood higher. The flying airlines and the moving jeeps were fitted faultlessly in the wide-angle frames and it was an awesome shot. The Parliament frames through the wide-angle shots were also good, a house filled with politicians and a woman who leads them was looking good through the shots. The close-up shots of the characters looked attractive, and the different kinds of emotions seen on their face were snatched flawlessly. We can see their acting skills, according to the type of scene every actor had given the right emotions and it was snatched flawlessly to the camera by Bhuvan Gowda. The scene of Archana Jois who played the mother role of Rocky is a great example of a wonderful close-up shot. Her sentiments and the love of a mother were seen on her face without any errors. Also, the pain of the mother and the hard work of a mother was captured from her performance by the cinematographer and the closeup frames made those scenes more touching. Yash’s various expressions and his strong face was also caught in the closeup frames. His expressions in the action sequences and the blood-shed face in the close-up frames were thrilling to watch. The camera movements in the action sequences and the sudden movements in between the actions and during the fight scenes looked unusual. The unexpected camera shift made the action scenes more stylish, the placement of the camera for the chasing scenes was also steady. The fight between Yash and Sanjay Dutt is a treat to watch, in that scene the camera movements and the placement is beyond the imagination, many exciting and captivating moments are filled in that fight sequence. The slow-motion shot also came out well, more worked out for the shoot out scenes and for the action sequences. The lighting technique was speechless and the mode of the method was different especially for the action sequences. For bringing out the darker atmosphere and to showcase the terror of KGF the cameraman Bhuvan Gowda had made some sensible lighting arrangements. The happenings in this dark mood were bringing out a new feel, the eyes were attracted to the visuals and were captivating from the very beginning so that the viewing experience was easily corresponding to the world of KGF and Rocky Bhai. The emotions of the KGF are plenty, the feel and vibe of a place like KGF were apprehended according to the plot so no one misses the atmosphere of KGF, it was brought elegantly to the screen. So the entire cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda was an impeccable work of brilliance, the powerful visuals which he had given are another winning highlight of KGF Chapter 2.

The editing for the film is made by Ujwal Kulkarni, the editing works were fine, I haven’t felt any mismatches in the viewing experience. The cuts were at the right place and the transition of scene also went accurately. The colour-grading was dominating, the shade of black tone was added all over and it was incredible. Due to this dark shade of colour grading the visuals and the surrounding of the film were providing a different feel. The ambience looks good through the colour grading and also the cuts in the action sequence was making the scenes more exciting. The outstanding work done by the Art Department and the Production Designer needs special mention, they have made this film look realistic. It’s an imaginary story, still the set they had made and built for the film is a big resemblance to reality, it was hard to believe that the set was artificially made, everything looked like the original. The gold mine factory, the houses, living tents of labourers, factories, its surrounding machinery, parliament house, police station, etc looked according to the period, every set made for the film was approximating the script. The wardrobes by the Costume Department were also satisfying, among the various actors the costume given for Sanjay Dutt was peeking higher. His costume was resembling the characters of Vikings which was dazzling suiting him, the whole appearance of Sanjay Dutt in those costumes had given a great impact as a villain. Yash was also looking stylish in his suit, his appearance with that dress was matching the character well. The formal way of dressing with a fearless attitude was predominantly seen in Yash till the end. The Stunt choreographed by Anbariv was energetic and thrilling, for Yash he had given the appropriate stunt according to his style. The body language of Yash while performing the fights was exciting to watch, and in between the fights, his attitude makes the action more interesting. Sanjay Dutt’s tremendous fight had given a tough battle for Yash, his mannerism and the daring mind to destroy his villain was giving an irresistible environment. So the action choreographer Anbariv had given the best actions and stunts for both the protagonist and antagonist, their feuds and fights are thrilling to a maximum extent.

CONCLUSION

So overall to conclude KGF Chapter 2 is an outstanding movie with the best cinematic experience, I enjoyed every single bit of it. It’s an epic conclusion, and the journey of Raja Krishnappa Bairya to Rocky Bhai had given me an unforgettable experience. The prior success of the KGF Franchise is the script and the direction by Prashanth Neel, he is the one who can show wonders. The carrier’s best performance from Yash as Rocky was fascinating, he stood as the backbone of KGF. The tremendous action sequences, the rich production quality, the stunning music and background score, excellent cinematography and the sharp editing had given KGF the ultimate result of technical brilliance. Therefore to get the real goosebumps impact I will strongly recommend everyone to watch this movie in a theatre with a mass crowd, it’s an epic must-watch conclusion.
