Sixty-sixth National Film Awards announced Gujarati film Hellarov is the best movie. Keerthi Suresh -the best actress while Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurana were shared the award for the best actor. MJ Radhakrishnan is the best cinematographer.

Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar is the best won award for the best director. Vicky Kaushal won the Best Actor award for her role in ‘Uri the Surgical Strike’.

Aayushman Khurana the best actor in the movie Aadhaadun. Joju received special mention for Best Actor for his role in Joseph. Savitri also received special mention for Best Actress for her role in Sudani from Nigeria. Sudani from Nigeria is the best Malayalam film.

12 trains canceled in Kerala

Due to heavy rains and landslides, 12 trains were canceled in the state today. 8 trains partially canceled. Railway authorities said that the traffic on Palakkad-Mangalore route could be restored by Saturday afternoon. Some long-distance trains were diverted via Tirunelveli Erode. Meanwhile, the road near Balaramapuram was blocked due to a landslide. Due to this the Eranad Express and Parasuram will be delayed.

Heavy rains in Karnataka; 10 died

At least 10 people died in heavy rains in Karnataka. About 50,000 people were displaced in northern Karnataka. The Kodagu region was isolated as the traffic was blocked by mud and water.

The rains have been recorded in Belagavi and Vijayapura districts of northern Karnataka and the hilly areas of Kodagu and Chikmagalur districts. The dams in the catchment area of the river Krishna opened up the villages. The city of Belagavi is still underwater.

Two hundred relief camps have been opened. People are fleeing from flooded villages. The rescue operation is being carried out by the army along with the Disaster Management Force. The bus service is disrupted between Northern Karnataka and Maharashtra.

With the landslides, Kodagu was isolated. The road to Kerala has been blocked due to heavy traffic in the town of Virajpet. It is advisable to avoid traveling via Kodagu. Authorities have decided to open more dams from the Cabani and Harangi.

Thiruvananthapuram: At least 44 lives have been lost in the heavy rain that reappeared before it could survive. More than 25 people died in the state yesterday. The body of eight missing persons has been recovered. On Thursday, 11 people died.

Bhoodanam near Nilambur in Malappuram district disappeared in the landslides. It is suspected that 30 of the 19 families were trapped underground. It is covered with stone and mud at a height of about 50 feet. 4 bodies were taken out.

Eight bodies were recovered at Putupumala in Meppady, Wayanad, where a large earthquake erupted on Thursday. Spread over 5 acres, this village spans over 100 acres. Around 64,013 people have been shifted to relief camps in different districts.

Train services on the Thrissur-Kozhikode, Shornur-Palakkad and Ernakulam-Alappuzha routes were disrupted. Many trains were canceled today.

Flight services also rescheduled here. The flights to be take off from Nedumbassery has been rescheduled to take off from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.

Thiruvananthapuram: The state will receive heavy rainfall today as well as tomorrow. Except for the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, isolated and very heavy rainfall is likely to hit in these areas. Rainfall is expected to be as high as 24 cm in 24 hours.

Heavy rains are likely in the districts of Malappuram to Kasaragod tomorrow. Heavy rains will be experienced in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad districts.

On the 10th, the power of the rain is likely to decrease slightly. Heavy rainfall is possible in Idukki and Kozhikode districts. Heavy rains are likely in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts.
