New Delhi: The BJP on Tuesday announced its second list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. The list of 10 candidates is out. The deadline for filing nominations was released on Tuesday morning.

Sunil Yadav, president of the Yuva Morcha, is contesting the New Delhi constituency against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi BJP spokesperson Tajindrapal Singh and Manish Singh were also named in the second list. Sumanlata Shokeen, Ravindra Chaudhary, Kusum Kathri and Anil Goyal are also among the candidates.

In the first phase, the BJP has fielded 57 candidates. Reports say that the remaining three seats in the 70-member constituency will be given to the LJP, the JD (U) and the Shiromani Akali Dal. On Monday, Akali Dal had said that there would be no election with the NDA in protest of the amendment of the citizenship law.

The Aam Aadmi Party has won 67 seats in the 70 seats in Delhi. The BJP won only three seats. Delhi Assembly Election on February 8 Counting is scheduled for 11.

Kathmandu: Eight Malayalee tourists found dead in a hotel room in Nepal. They were found dead at a resort in Daman, according to the news agency ANI. They used a gas heater in the room to cool off. New Delhi: The current working president of the party, Jagat Prakash Nadda is set to become the BJP’s national president. Nadda is the BJP president after the resignation of current president Amit Shah. BJP sources said that the announcement of Nadda’s presidency is likely to take place today.

Former BJP leaders Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari will also nominate Nadda’s name, BJP sources said. This proposal will be approved by other members of the BJP National Council. The time for filing nominations for BJP’s presidency is from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Scrutiny of nominations will take place between 12.30 and 1.30 pm. Candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw between 1.30 and 2.30. There is no need to hold a vote on Tuesday as Nadda is likely to be the only candidate.

Nadda will take over the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a function to be held at the BJP headquarters here this month.

With the BJP winning the Lok Sabha elections and Amit Shah becoming the Home Minister in the second Modi government, the Himachal Pradesh leader JP Nadda has been appointed working president to reduce the Shah’s workload. Amit Shah’s loyalist Bhupinder Yadav is expected to become the BJP’s new working president or vice president when Jadda Nadda assumes office. Under the new leadership, various national committees of the party will be reorganized. All-Union ministers have been called to the office of the BJP today. This will inform the electoral process and discuss Nadda’s presidency. Nadda was a three-time member of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (MLA) from 1993-2012.

New Delhi: The third edition of the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020′ program will be held today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with students, teachers and parents at a function at New Delhi’s Talchatora Stadium at 11 am. The Prime Minister will answer students’ questions about how to face the exams and how to avoid the exams. More than 2000 students from across the country will participate in the program.

Competitions including essay writing have been organized as part of the program for students from 9th to 12th grade. About 1500 students are selected through the essay competition. The ‘Exam Pe Charcha’ program was launched on February 16, 2018.

Bilaspur: Maoist woman killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh. The encounter took place in the forest area of Bijapur. CRPF and police were jointly searching the area. The body of a woman wearing a Maoist uniform was found on Monday morning.
