Thiruvananthapuram: Now can apply for the Sabarimala Darshan related to Thulamasa Pooja from Saturday. The order issued by DGP Loknath Behra states that the virtual queue registration will start at 11 pm. The government has decided to give registration to only 250 people a day. Travel will be allowed only on Vadaserikkara and Erumeli roads as part of COVID restrictions. The DGP said that the bath will not be allowed in Pamba.

For the first time since the announcement of the lockdown, devotees will be able to see Sabarimala. Permission for the pilgrimage was granted based on the report of the Chief Secretary level committee. There were opinions from many quarters that the vision of Sabarimala should not be allowed because of the spread of COVID. The disagreement was also high over the number of health workers who had to leave, including antigen tests at the stand. However, the Chief Secretary’s Committee reported that the darshan could be allowed.
