Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has forecast that thunderstorms will occur in the state in the isolated places till Friday. The risk of thunderstorms is high between 2 pm and 10 pm. The public should be cautious as thunderstorms are likely to be active in hilly areas as well. Heavy rains are also forecast in the state on Wednesday. On that day, a yellow alert was declared in Idukki. It does not impede fishing off the coast of Kerala.

Thiruvananthapuram: Bird flu has been confirmed in various districts of the state. The H-5 N-8 virus was confirmed in the Alappuzha Kuttanad region and Neendur in Kottayam. The last few days have seen a mass death of ducks in the area. Minister K Raju said that out of the eight samples sent to the Bhopal lab, the disease was confirmed in five.

Experts say the virus could be transmitted to humans through mutations. However, the virus has not yet been identified in humans. Vigilance has been ordered in the districts in case the disease is confirmed. Precautions have been taken to prevent it from spreading to other parts.

Union Health Minister says Covid vaccine will be provided free of cost in the country

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Harsha Vardhan has said that the Covid vaccine will be provided free of cost in the country. He said there would be good news this week about vaccine approval and that the expert committee’s recommendation was being reviewed by the Drug Control General.

The Central Government will liaise with the Serum Institute for the vaccine as soon as it gets the approval of the DCGI. He said the first dose would be for vaccines for 2.5 crore people. The minister was speaking after assessing the dry run at the GTB Hospital in Delhi.

11-year boy’s death; The bodies of a father and younger brother were found in a pond at Navaikkulam

Covid vaccine dry run tomorrow in 4 districts of Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Covid vaccine dry run will be conducted in four districts of Kerala tomorrow. The dry run will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Idukki, and Wayanad districts. The dry run will be held at three places in Thiruvananthapuram and at other places in other districts.

Earlier, the Union Health Ministry had said that the dry run of Covid vaccine would be available in all states from January 2. Earlier, a two-day dry run was successfully organized in four states. The two-day dry run was conducted in Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, and Assam.

Thiruvananthapuram: School in the state opens after a nine-month break. It opens on Friday. Classes restart for SSLC and Plus Two students after a long break.

Considering the public exam, the classes for SSLC, Higher Secondary classes will be open from today. The public examinations for these classes will start from March 17 to 30.

4.25 lakh students in Class X and 3.84 lakh students in Second Year Higher Secondary and 28000 students in VHSE will attend the classes in the first batch.

Only 50% of children are allowed in school at the same time. As directed by the Director of Public Instruction schools with more than 300 children in 10th and 12th class play 25 percent at a time.

Classes should be arranged in the first week as a student on a bench. It has been prescribed by the Department of Education. At the same time, children can be attended to only with the consent of their parents.

Masks and a digital thermometer, sanitizer, and soap in school are mandatory. Children should maintain a physical distance of at least two meters between them.

Avoid eating that food together. Do not share food, water, and other class items. . Classroom door handles, desk, and duster should be sanitized in two-hour intervals.

Safety distance is also mandatory for school vehicles.
