Thiruvananthapuram: The body of the missing child, in the Navayikkulam child death case, was also found at a pond in Navaikulam in Thiruvananthapuram. Police believe Safeer father of the children committed suicide after killing his children.
The eldest son, Altaf (11), was found strangled at home. The body of his youngest son Anshad (7) was last found. Safeer’s body was earlier found in Aratt pool. The preliminary conclusion is that the family problem was the cause of the incident. Safeer and his wife had been living apart for months.
The initial conclusion of the police was that the father had beheaded the child.
