Salary Reform Order to be issued today; Revised salary in April

Thiruvananthapuram: The revised salaries and allowances of state employees and teachers will be distributed from April 1. The revised salary will take effect from July 1, 2019. The allowances recommended by the Eleventh Pay Commission will come into effect from March 1, 2021. The order will be issued on Wednesday. Available on a scale specifically recommended by the Commission on Health. In other areas, the ‘scale to scale’ reform is being implemented.

A three-member secretarial committee has been set up to look into complaints and grievances related to the implementation of the recommendations of the Pay Reform Commission. The committee, convened by the Additional Chief Secretary for Finance, consists of the Additional Chief Secretary for Civil Service Reform and the Principal Secretary for Public Administration.

The committee will look into the raised scales and career advancement scheme recommended by the commission. The report containing the recommendations will be submitted to the government within a month. This will be examined and a detailed order will be issued later.

International Film Festival Signature Film Released; Pass distribution up to 7 p.m

Thiruvananthapuram: The signature film of the 25th International Film Festival has been released. The film is directed by Mahesh Narayanan and deals with the film’s audience’s sentiment towards cinema. Music is composed by Sushin Shyam.

It is learned that the application was prepared and initially the ministry officials started using the app.

Reserve Bank announces rates; The repo rate is four percent

New Delhi: The Reserve Bank of India has announced repo rates. The loan review meeting decided to keep the repo at 4 percent and the reverse repo at 3.35 percent.

The first loan review committee, chaired by Governor Shaktikanda Das, took the crucial decision to keep the repo rate unchanged.
The repo rate is the interest rate at which RBI lends to banks. On the other hand, the interest rate on the money deposited by banks in the Reserve Bank is the reverse repo.

Kozhikode: The verdict in the case registered in Kozhikode in connection with the solar scam has been postponed. The Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court will give its verdict on the 11th of this month. Biju Radhakrishnan is the first accused in the case and Saritha S. Nair is the second accused.
