Earth Energy with Indian-made electric scooters for Indian roads

Earth Energy, an electric vehicle manufacturer, has come up with the idea of an Indian-made electric scooter for Indian roads. Mumbai-based Earth Energy has built two electric motorcycles and an electric scooter. They have developed the Evolve-R and Evolve-Z motorcycles and the Glide Plus scooter. The 96 percent Indian-made Earth Energy bikes are priced between Rs 1.30 lakh and Rs 1.42 lakh, while the electric scooter is priced at Rs 92,000 ex-showroom in Mumbai. Earth Energy is also planning to work with other automakers in India to make electric vehicles more efficient.

Glide Plus is designed in the new generation design style. The vehicle is powered by a 2.4Kw electric motor that produces 26 Nm of torque. The manufacturers guarantee a range of 100 km on a single charge. The maximum speed is 60 km / h. With a fast charger, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 40 minutes. The Evolve-Z motorcycle is powered by a 5.2Kw electric motor that produces 56 Nm of torque. Offering a range of 100 kmph, the bike has a top speed of 95 kmph. The manufacturers claim that the 96Ah lithium-ion battery can be fully charged in 2.5 hours.

The Evolve-R is a street fighter model. The bike is powered by a 12.5Kw battery that produces 54 Nm of torque. The maximum speed is 110 km / h. Powered by a 115 Ah battery, the bike has a range of 100 km on a single charge. Charging is similar to other models. The features of the new generation vehicles are the highlight of all three models. It comes in Connected Two Wheelers. It has an LED display that connects through the Earth’s smartphone app. Navigation, Call / Message, Trip History, etc.

Nedumkandam Custody Death; Nine defendants, including SI; CBI files charge sheet

Idukki: CBI has filed a charge sheet in the Nedunkandam custody death case. The charge sheet was filed in the Ernakulam CJM court against nine policemen, including Nedunkandam SI. The probe team will file the charge sheet seven months after the incident.

The CBI has named Nedunkandam SI KA Sabu as the first accused in the case. Apart from this, eight police officers from Nedumkandam station are also on the list of accused. According to the charge sheet, Rajkumar was beaten to death by the accused.

Defendants fabricated evidence to cover up the crime. The charge sheet states that the investigation against the then Idukki SP Venugopal, DySP Shamsuddin, jail officials, and doctors are continuing.
Earlier, the crime branch had registered a case against seven policemen. However, the CBI had added a head constable and a woman police officer.

M Shivashankar was released on bail

Kochi: After being granted bail in a dollar case, former Principal Secretary of Chief Minister M Shivshankar has been released on bail. He was released from Kakkanad district jail but did not respond to media reports. He returned to Thiruvananthapuram from Kakkanad after 98 days in jail.

Shivashankar was granted bail by the Court on Wednesday. The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate court (Economic Offences) granted bail to the former Principal Secretary of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, after directing him to furnish a bond of Rs 2 lakh, two sureties for the like amount, and appear before the investigating officers here every Monday.

Shivshankar was arrested on October 28 by the Enforcement. It was in a money laundering case. He was arrested in November on a gold smuggling charge and in January on a dollar smuggling case.

Mumbai: Co-director Rishikesh Pawar has been taken into custody by the Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai zonal team in connection with the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Rishikesh is also a close friend of Sushant. The information about Rishikesh was received from those arrested earlier in the drug case. He is being questioned in detail. Sushant Singh was found hanged on July 14, 2020, at his residence in suburban Bandra.

Thiruvananthapuram: The cabinet meeting today decided to recommend to PSC to extend the validity of PSC rank lists for six months. It is recommended that the validity of all rank lists ending between February 3, 2021, and August 2, 2021, be extended to August 3, 2021.
Due to the spread of Covid, there has been a change in the schedule of conducting PSC examinations. It also took longer to publish the rank list. The government has also considered extending the tenure of PSCs due to delays in recruitment to recently created posts.

A new vaccine expected to arrive in India

Covovax, a joint venture between the world’s largest vaccine maker, the Serum Institute, and the US vaccine maker Novavax, is being tested in India. Terror links in gold smuggling case; NIA charge sheet

Kochi: NIA has been clarified that there is a terrorist link in the gold smuggling case. NIA has filed a charge sheet in the gold smuggling case explaining this. Charge sheets have been filed against 20 accused. However, the charge sheet does not name M Shivashankar, the former Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. The charge sheet came amid allegations by customs and the ED that Shivshankar was the mastermind behind the gold smuggling racket. The NIA filed the charge sheet in a special court three weeks ago.

The NIA said the suspects formed a terrorist group to undermine the country’s internal financial security. Their main objective was to sever ties between India and the UAE. The NIA alleged that they had widely raised funds for this in India and abroad and recruited people for the gold smuggling ring.

The NIA has formed a special team to probe the terrorist link behind the gold smuggling through the diplomatic channel. The NIA charge sheet states that any act that undermines the economic security of the country is an act of terrorism and that this is exactly what the defendants did. According to the NIA, nine more accused are yet to be named in the case.

CBSE Board exam dates announced; Class 12 exams are divided into two shifts

New Delhi: CBSE Class X and XII board examinations will be held from May 4. The practical exams will start from March 1, the education ministry said. The examination will be conducted in full compliance with the Covid standards. The maximum number of students that can sit in the examination hall will be determined according to the Covid protocol.

The Class X examination will begin on May 4 and end on June 10. The Class X examination will be held from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm. However, the Class XII examination is divided into two shifts. The second shift will be from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and the second shift will be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The results will be published on July 15.

The Department of Education said the exam dates were announced three months ago to further prepare students. Exam dates have already been announced as it will take more time for students to clear their doubts and seek the help of teachers in the Covid context.

The CBI has filed a charge sheet against Arjun, who was driving the car. The case is for involuntary manslaughter. The CBI team found that Arjun was driving recklessly at excessive speeds and caused the accident.

A case has also been registered against Sobi who came on the scene as a witness. The case is for giving false information and producing false evidence. The relatives of Balabhaskar suspected suspicion in his death after his friends were accused in a gold smuggling case through the airport.

The confusion over the wording of the driver also contributed to the mystery of the death. According to Balabhaskar’s wife Lakshmi and eyewitness Nandu, the vehicle was driven by Arjun. KSRTC driver Aji, who reached the spot, said that he saw Balabhaskar in the driving seat. With the results of the forensic examination, this confusion was removed.
