K-FON with high-speed internet; The first phase will be inaugurated today

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the first phase of the high-speed internet connectivity K-FON project in Kerala today. The inauguration will take place online at 5.30 pm. The first phase of K-FON will be implemented in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts. In the first phase, 1000 government offices in seven districts will be connected to the Internet.

The first phase will connect 30,000 government offices across the state. K-FON will reach 5700 government offices in July. In the next phase, 20 lakh BPL families will be provided free connection. The project cost is `1531 crore. KIFB will pay 70 percent of this. Minister MM Mani will preside over the inauguration function. Finance Minister TM Thomas Isaac will attend.

Traffic restriction in Thamarassery pass for one month from today

All freight vehicles and buses will be banned from 5 to 10 p.m. KSRTC will run a mini service for passengers during this time. The service will run at 15-minute intervals during off-peak hours and at 10-minute intervals during peak hours. He is a propylene derivatives petrochemical complex at the Cochin Refinery, an inland waterways authority’s raw-roll vessel at Wellington Island, an international cruise terminal at the Cochin Port Trust, and a Cochin Shipyard’s Marine Engineering Training Institution. He will also lay the foundation stone of the Cochin Port Trust’s South Colbert at a function at the BPCL Refinery in Ambalamukal.

The Prime Minister will arrive at the Naval Airport from Chennai at 2.45 pm. The opening ceremony will be from 3.30 pm to 4 pm. He will then return to Delhi at 5.55 pm. The function will be attended by Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, and Mansukh L Mandavia.
