Air India Express launches first international service with fully vaccinated staff

New Delhi: The first flight of Air India Express, India’s budget airline, flew to Dubai with staff fully vaccinated. The Air India service was launched on June 18. Air India Express is the first airline to operate international services with employees who have received two vaccine doses from India.

The pilots and other crew of flight IX 191, which left Delhi at 10.40 am, received two doses of the Covid vaccine. Captains DR Gupta and Captains Alok Kumar were the pilots of the aircraft. Venkat Kella, Praveen Chandra, Praveen Chougley, and Manisha Kamble are the other employees on board. Flight IX 196 from Dubai to Jaipur and later to Delhi had the same staff. ‘We have vaccinated all the crew members and veterans who are eligible to receive the vaccine. This was done for the safety of employees and passengers, ”Air India said in a statement.

“Air India has become the first airline to operate an international service with employees who have been fully vaccinated in India. Air India Express was the first airline to operate the Vande Bharat Mission service. The first Vande Bharat Mission Flight took off from Abu Dhabi on May 7 last year with passengers. We are happy to vaccinate our employees, ”said Air India.
