Yellow alert issued in 7 districts

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in seven districts today. A yellow alert has been declared in Kasargod, Kannur, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Idukki, and Kottayam districts.

Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in the coastal areas today. Fishermen were banned from going to sea as there was a risk of flooding.
