Washington, DC: The United States has strongly retaliated against the attack on Kabul. The US held airstrikes on power bases in ISIS in Afghanistan. The incident took place in Nangarhar province. The Central Command claimed that they had found the target and killed the ISIS leader.

The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a U.S. military base, killing at least 170 people and wounding 170 others, including 17 U.S. soldiers. 13 American soldiers and two British civilians are among those killed. Most of the dead were Afghan nationals. At least 30 Taliban militants have been identified as dead.

New Delhi: The Central Government has launched a unified vehicle registration system that can be used anywhere in the country. Vehicles registered in the BH or Bharat series can be used anywhere in the country.

Vehicles currently registered in each state are required to re-register when they are permanently relocated. The BH series is to avoid this. This system can be used if the vehicle owner is interested. It is currently licensed for use by members of the Defense Forces and Central and State Government employees. Employees of private companies with offices in four or more states can also avail themselves of the new system.

The new system will be more useful for those who are working on inter-state transfers. Currently, they have to transfer the vehicle registration every time they receive a transfer. Section 47 of the Motor Vehicles Act prohibits permanent use of a vehicle outside the registered state for more than one year.

Bangalore: Six engineering students have been arrested in connection with the rape of an MBA student in Mysore. Four were arrested from Tamil Nadu and two from Mumbai. The girl was raped on Tuesday night in Lalithadripura North near Chamundi Hills.

The girl, a native of Maharashtra, who was riding a bike with a classmate, was stopped by a drunken gang around 7 pm. The girl was taken to a vacant lot after being beaten to death by a classmate.

Bangalore: Mangalore police have arrested seven people for trying to cross the Kerala-Karnataka border at Thalappadi with fake RTPCR certificates. Six of them are from Kasargod and one is from Mangalore.
