0

Geneva: The World Health Organization’s latest warning about the next pandemic is noteworthy. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that insect-borne diseases, such as syphilis and dengue, could pose a major threat to the world.

Dengue, yellow fever, chikungunya, and Sika viruses are all known as arthropod-borne viruses or arboviruses. They are transmitted by blood-sucking arthropods such as mosquitoes, insects, lice, and fleas.

The aforementioned animal diseases are most prevalent in the tropical and subtropical regions with a population of about 390 million. The WHO warns that coordinated action at the international level is essential as the frequency and severity of infectious diseases caused by the arbovirus increase. According to Dr. Ren Minghui, Assistant Director-General of the World Health Organization, the challenges posed by these diseases will increase as the urban population grows.

The World Health Organization (WHO) says there are signs that the risk of these diseases is rising.
