Suicide of NIT student; The police registered a case against the director of NIT

Chandigarh: The police have registered a case against the NIT director over the death of Agin S Dileep, a Malayali student who died at Punjab’s Lovely Professional University. Meanwhile, NIT has come up with an explanation for the suicide of the student. NIT said that Agin S. Dileep could not complete the course even after his final year of studies. As per NIT rules, the student was not eligible to continue in the course.

Agin S., a native of Cherthala Pallipuram was found dead yesterday. Agin S Dileep, a first-year student of Bachelor of Design, was found hanging dead in the hostel yesterday evening. The note mentioned the teacher of NIT, Kozhikode, where Agin studied earlier. The note accuses Prof. Prasad Krishna.

The note said that he regretted his decision and that he was a burden to everyone. Meanwhile, after Agin’s death, a huge protest was staged at the Lovely Professional University campus in Jalandhar. When two students committed suicide within ten days, the students came together in protest. The students demanded a detailed investigation of both incidents. The Kapurthala police have registered a case of unnatural death and started the investigation.

You can now book train tickets on Google Search

New Delhi:  The company has announced the facility to book train tickets on Google search itself. This feature will be available initially in select countries.

The facility will be available in other countries soon. In countries like Germany, Spain, Italy, Japan, you can now book train tickets directly from Google search. Trains are a good option for some journeys. But it takes a little more searching to figure out fares and travel times said Google Travel Product Vice President Richard Holden.

After selecting the trains from the Google search, they will be taken directly to another website to complete the booking. Richard Holden said that the feature will be rolled out to more places and a similar feature is being tested for bus tickets as well.

Heroin worth 1725 crore seized at Mumbai port

Mumbai: Massive drug bust at Mumbai’s Navasheva port.Delhi police special cell seized 345 kg of heroin. According to the police, it will cost around Rs 1725 crore in the international market.The heroin was mixed with licorice candy. A container of liquor weighing about 22 tons was seized. The container was taken to Delhi.

Father beaten up in front of daughter: Four KSRTC employees suspended

Thiruvananthapuram: Four KSRTC employees who were responsible for beating up a father in front of his daughter following a dispute regarding taking concession at Kattakada KSRTC bus stand have been suspended pending investigation.

Station Master of KSRTC Aryanadu Unit A. Mohammad Sharif, duty guard at Kattakkada Depot S.R. Suresh Kumar, Conductor N. Anilkumar, Assistant C.P. Milan Dorich and others were suspended based on the preliminary investigation report. Transport Minister Antony Raju directed the KSRTC CMD to complete the investigation within 45 days and take strict action against the employees who assaulted the father in front of his daughter.

The girl had come to the scene with a response to the incident where the father and daughter were beaten up by the employees at the KSRTC depot. The child said that the staff beat her father despite telling them not to hit him and pushed her without even looking at the fact that she was a girl. I myself went to the police station along with my friend and gave the information.

The policemen called an auto for papa and went to the hospital. Even today’s exam was not written well.’ The Kattakada police registered a case against five people in the incident. A case has been registered under sections 143, 147 and 149 of the IPC. Sections of unlawful detention and assault and several crucial charges have been imposed. 

Proceedings of the Supreme Court Constitutional Bench can now be seen live; Live streaming from Tuesday

New Delhi:  Proceedings of the Supreme Court Constitution Bench can now be watched live online. The important decision was taken in the full court meeting of the judges presided over by Chief Justice UU Lalit. The live stream will start from September 27.
In the first step, do live streaming through YouTube. Later it will start its own webcast channel to live stream the proceedings of the Constitution Bench. Yesterday, senior advocate Indira Jaising had written to the Chief Justice requesting that the cases heard by the Constitution Bench be telecast live.

Earlier, in 2018, a Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Dipak Misra had ordered live telecast of constitutionally important cases. Considering all this, the Full Court decided to live stream the proceedings of the Constitution Bench. Currently Gujarat, Karnataka, Patna, Orissa and Jharkhand High Courts are telecasting court proceedings live.

Two Islamic State supporters arrested for planning blast in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Two supporters of Islamic State (IS) who planned to carry out explosions in various places in Karnataka have been arrested by the police.

Mas Muneer Ahmed (22), a native of Mangaluru, and Syed Yasin Sideswar (21), a native of Shivamoga, were arrested by Shivamoga police.

Their accomplice Muhammad Shariq, a resident of Thirthahalli Soppugudde, is absconding. UAPA was also charged against the accused. Police also informed them that they had explosives.

Home Minister Araga Gyanendra said that three people have links with ISIS. The arrested Yasin is an electrical engineer. The accused have played a key role in the months-long violence in Shivamogga. All three have received terrorist training, including explosions. He said that one of them has links with Pakistan-based terror groups and the accused are being interrogated in detail.

The truck ran over people sleeping on the roadside; four deaths; Two people were seriously injured

New Delhi:  Four people were killed when a truck ran over sleeping people in Delhi. The incident took place in Seemapuri, Delhi. The vehicle that caused the accident has not been identified.

The accident happened at 1.51 am. Six people were sleeping on the roadside. The vehicle ran over them.

Two people died on the spot. Two others also died in the hospital. Two seriously injured people are undergoing treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Karim (52), Chhote Khans (25), Shah Alam (38), and Rahul (45). Police informed that 16-year-old Manish and 30-year-old Pradeep are undergoing treatment.

Ebola confirmed in Uganda

Kampala: The World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed the spread of Ebola in the East African country of Uganda.
The disease was confirmed by a young man (24) from Central Mubende district. He died soon after his symptoms were confirmed. Six people who died with symptoms in the district this month are being investigated if they were infected with the virus. The infection is suspected in eight people who are currently under treatment.

More than 200 people died in the 2000 Ebola outbreak in Uganda. The last Ebola outbreak was detected in Uganda in 2019.

Custodial death of  woman; Students took to the streets in Iran

Tehran: Protests continue over the death of a young woman who was arrested by religious affairs police for violating Iran’s traditional dress code.

Iranians took to the streets of the capital, Tehran. 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who was taken into custody by the Religious Affairs Police on September 13 for not covering her hair with the hijab, which is mandatory for Iranian women, died on Friday.

The woman was unconscious for three days and died in the hospital. Fars news agency reported that students at Tehran universities protested demanding an investigation into the death and the abolition of the religious affairs police that detained Amini. Protests also took place in Mashad town. Many Iranian women protested by not wearing headscarves.

Stating that she died due to a heart attack, the police rejected the allegation of ill-treatment. However, the family clarified that Amini had no heart problems. Amini, who is of Kurdish origin, was buried on Saturday in his hometown of Saks in western Iran. The protest broke out after the burial. Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, who traveled to New York on Monday to address the United Nations General Assembly, ordered the investigation. The Judiciary and the Parliamentary Committee have started an investigation.
