Buffer Zone: Map published with survey number

Thiruvananthapuram: A map containing the survey number of the areas included in the buffer zone has been published. A map of the buffer zone around the protected area, excluding human settlements and structures, was published earlier. The map with the survey number has been published now. Each institution is assigned a different color on the map. Complaints in this regard can be filed from January 7.

The term of the committee to carry out the site inspection and prepare the report has also been extended. The term of the committee chaired by Justice Radhakrishnan Thottathil has been extended. The order was extended till February 8 next year. Earlier it was announced that the term will end on December 30. It was decided in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister earlier to extend the term.

Minister AK Saseendran had said that the steps related to the buffer zone would be completed soon. Committee will be formed at the ward level for field verification. Inspection will be done as soon as the complaint is received, the minister said.

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, who spent 13 months in jail in a money laundering case, has been released from Mumbai jail. Anil Deshmukh was finally arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on November 2, 2021, after more than 12 hours of interrogation. Deshmukh was released from jail after he was granted bail in the ED case and later in the CBI case.

Anil Deshmukh was granted bail by a bench of MS Karnik of the Bombay High Court. Anil Deshmukh was released from Arthur Road Jail on Wednesday afternoon. “I have complete faith in the judiciary…. The High Court has observed that I have been implicated in a false case,” Anil Deshmukh said after being released from a Mumbai jail, news agency PTI reported.

Ahead of his release, NCP leaders including Supriya Sule, state president Jayant Patil, Ajit Pawar, and Chhagan Bhujbal gathered outside Arthur Road Jail to welcome him. NCP leaders waiting outside the jail said that Deshmukh had been in jail for over a year and none of the charges against him could be proved in court.

Oommen Chandy gets a clean chit in the solar case

Kochi:  The CBI has found that the complaint that Oommen Chandy molested the young woman at Cliff House in the highly controversial Solar molestation case is a baseless allegation. There is no evidence that Oommen Chandy was tortured in the Cliff House. He did not come to the Cliff House on the day when the complaint was made by the complainant. The CBI report says there is no circumstantial evidence or witness statements for this.

Also, the CBI report says that Abdullah Kutty was raped in the Muscat hotel, which is a false allegation and the complainant tried to create false evidence.

Moreover, in the CBI report, the complainant tried to fabricate false evidence against KC Venugopal in the solar harassment case. According to the CBI report, the complainant tried to pretend that KC Venugopal had paid money to change her statement.
With this, the CBI acquitted the accused in all the cases handed over by the government.

Thrissur: Priest who sexually assaulted girl punished under POCSO Act. Raju Kokkan (49), a native of Thrissur Amballur, was punished. The punishment is seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs.50,000.

Thrissur Fast Track Court Judge Bindu Sudhakaran pronounced the sentence. The incident took place in 2014. The complaint is that the girl who had come to the first mass class of the parish was called and sexually assaulted.

A 17-year-old girl was strangled to death in Varkala

Thiruvananthapuram:  A girl was killed by strangling in Varkala. Sangeeta (17) was killed in Vadaseri Sangeeta Niwas.
The girl’s body was found outside the house in a pool of blood. In connection with the murder, Sangeeta’s boyfriend was arrested. Police arrested Pallchal native police connection with the incident.

According to the police reports, the boy called Sangeetha out of the house and killed her last night.

Abu Dhabi:  National Center of Meteorology says there is a possibility of widespread rain in the UAE. Yellow and orange alerts have been issued across the country. Officials have warned people to be careful when going out and driving in the rain.

There was widespread rain in various parts of the UAE yesterday. Sharjah Ajman Ras Al Khaimah has received heavy rain since morning. It was overcast everywhere in the country. Water has entered the roads in many places in the Sharjah Ajman emirates. The Sharjah Municipal Corporation has informed that proper preparations have been made in the last few days following the rain warning and the steps to remove the waterlogs are progressing rapidly. There was traffic jam in many places. The cold has been strong in the country.

At the same time, Ras Al Khaimah police said that the road to Jebel Jais, one of the main tourist spots in the country, has been closed due to heavy rains. Chancellor’s Bill: Governor seeks legal advice

Thiruvananthapuram:  Governor Arif Muhammad Khan sought legal advice on the bill to remove the governor from the post of chancellor. The Governor has sought legal advice from the Raj Bhavan Standing Council. At present, the governor is of the position that he will take further action after studying the bill in detail.

The bill deals with the transfer of the governor from the post of chancellor of all the 14 universities in the state. The bill will come into effect only after the governor signs it. The governor who will return to the state on January 3 is likely to take further action after examining the legal advice.

There are also reports that the matter will be discussed with the senior lawyers of the Supreme Court. If the Governor does not take a decision on the bill and sends it to the President for consideration, the bill will remain in effect for a long time.

Preparations to deal with Covid were discussed; The Chief Minister met the Prime Minister

New Delhi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan discussed preparations to deal with the threat of Covid in Kerala with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PFI investigation may go outside the country

New Delhi:  The National Investigation Agency has found that the Popular Front of India received large amounts of money from abroad. It was also found that the money was sent to the country through some organizations operating in the Gulf countries. Based on this, NIA sources are hinting that there will be an international inquiry into such organizations, those working in those organizations and their links with banned organization PFI.

Organizations working in Gulf countries will first raise money to help PFI. Later it will be sent to some NRI accounts in the country. Transfer money from NRI accounts to the accounts of PFI leaders or transfer money directly to them. The NIA had informed the special court in Kochi that it had found many accounts where such transactions took place.

On September 28, the central government had banned the Popular Front of India citing that it had provided support to terrorist activities. More than 20 PFI leaders were arrested in a subsequent raid.

NIA said that PFI had links with terrorist organizations including ISIS and Al-Qaeda. A has been found. NIA sources also say that there is evidence that the PFI itself has prepared the hit list of people belonging to other religious groups.
