Child deaths in Uzbekistan; The Indian company stopped production of the drug

Tashkent: All manufacturing operations of the syrup company were halted due to the drinking of the syrup produced by the Indian company. Noida-based syrup maker Marion Biotech has suspended its drug production operations. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavya informed the media that the investigation into the incident is in progress.

After Uzbekistan alleged that 18 children died after drinking the syrup produced by the Indian company, the company stopped production. The company expressed regret over the death of the children. However, the company said that the drug has not been sold in India. They also clarified that there is only the export of medicine. National media reports that the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization has started an investigation. Officials inspected the company’s Noida office.

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi (100) passed away. She was undergoing treatment at the UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad. Modi canceled the programs in Bengal and returned to Ahmedabad. Heera Ben celebrated her 100th birthday in June. Modi attended the functions which were scheduled in West Bengal virtually after offering last rites of his mother. 

Football legend Pele has passed away

Sao Paulo: Football legend Pele has passed away. He was 82 years old. Died at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo after colon cancer. He was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated. Pele’s daughter confirmed the death on Instagram.

Pele adapted the game of football to the field. The player who won the World Cup three times for Brazil has gone down in history. These titles were in 1958, 1962, and 1970 World Cups. Pele is the only footballer to own this feat.

He was born on October 23, 1940, in Tres Coracoes, Brazil. Father João Ramos do Nascimento Doninho and mother Celeste Arantes. In 1956, at the age of fifteen, he started playing with Brazil’s famous football club Santos. Santos made his senior debut on September 7, 1956, against Corinthians. Pele also added a goal to his name in that match, which Santos won by seven goals to one.

CBSE Date Sheet 2023 Released; Class 10, Class 12 exam begin on February 15

The date sheet for the CBSE Board Exams 2023 has been released. CBSE Exam 2023 Time Table for Class 10 and 12 can be found on the CBSE’s official website, cbse.gov.in.

The class 10 exam will begin on February 15 and end on March 21, 2023. The Class 12 exam will begin on February 15, 2023 and conclude on April 5, 2023. Class 10 and 12 exams will begin at 10.30 a.m. and end at 1.30 p.m.

The schedule for the practical exams has been released by the Board. The Class 10, 12 practical exams will begin on January 2, 2023, according to the schedule.

CBSE class 10th, and 12th exams 2023 will start in February

New Delhi:  CBSE class 10th and 12th exams will start in February. The schedule has been released starting from February 15 and ending on April 5. The 10th class exams will start on February 5 and end on March 21. Class 12 exams will last till April 5.

Till last year, CBSE exams were conducted in two categories but this year it has been made into one category. Compared to previous times, 100% of questions will be from the syllabus. CBSE is trying to announce the results by June.

Sex racket arrested in Kozhikode

Kozhikode: A four-member gang was arrested for trafficking women in a flat in Kozhikode city. A group including a woman was caught by the medical college police and the accused had taken a flat under the pretense of being a family and engaged in a sex racket.
Bindu, a native of Chiral, Wayanad, Shaji, a native of Malappuram Thanoor, Karthik, a native of Puthiangadi, Kozhikode,
Rasik, a resident of Peruwayal was arrested. Based on the information received by the Medical College ACP, 4 persons were arrested during the inspection of the flat under Mayyanad Mundickalthazhe.

They lived in the flat by telling the neighbors that they were family. But as people used to come and go at untimely times, suspicions arose. The same was reported to the police. A sex racket gang was caught in the police investigation. It is reported that there are more accused in the case. The police said that the flat owner, a native of Kavoor, and the accused in the Kappa case, a native of Perimalam, were the main links of the gang. The search for them has started.

NIA arrests two accused in Coimbatore blast case

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency has arrested two more accused in the Coimbatore car bomb blast case. Sheikh Hidayatullah and Sanofar Ali were arrested yesterday. With this, the number of people arrested has increased to 11.
An NIA official said that both the arrested accused were involved in the conspiracy. According to the NIA, the conspiracy took place in the Asanoor and Kadambur areas of the Sathyamangalam forests.
Umar Farooq, who was arrested earlier, led the meeting. Apart from those arrested now, Jamisha Mubeen and Mohammad Azharuddin were also involved in the conspiracy. On the evening of October 23, an explosion took place in Coimbatore after a cylinder exploded in a car. One of the planners of the blast was killed in the incident.

Tashkent: 18 children die in Uzbekistan after consuming Indian-made cough syrup. The children died after consuming Doc-1 Max, a cough syrup manufactured by Marian Biotech.

Following the incident, the drug was banned by the government of Uzbekistan. All the children who died had taken more than the prescribed dose. This drug contained a chemical called ethylene glycol. The authorities suspected that this could be the cause of death.
A few days ago, a similar incident took place in the African country of Gambia. 63 children died of kidney failure after consuming cough syrup manufactured by Maiden Pharma in Haryana. The authorities found that the medicine contained more chemicals than at that time.

Domestic migrants in the country can vote; Election Commission

New Delhi: Election Commission to provide an opportunity to the domestic migrants of the country to vote. For this, the Election Commission has prepared a model of a new electronic voting machine. The commission sought the views of political parties on the new system. The model of the new voting machine has been prepared in such a way that voting in different constituencies is possible through one booth.

The Election Commission has concluded that the voting percentage can be increased through the new system. The commission has found that 85 percent of the migration in the country is within the states.

If the new system comes into force, those who have settled in other states will be able to vote for the candidate in their constituency while staying in their current places. The Election Commission has informed us that the pilot project will be tested.

Widespread NIA raids on PFI centers in the state

Thiruvananthapuram: Widespread NIA raids on PFI centers in the state again. Raids were held at 56 locations. The NIA searches are conducted in the houses of second tier leaders.

Raids were held in all the districts of the state. The inspection is a continuation of the PFI ban. NIA officials from Delhi are also participating in the raid. At present, the most raids took place in Ernakulam Rural.

In Pathanamthitta, the house of the former state officials of the Popular Front was also raided. The inspection started at three o’clock in the morning. The raid took place in 4 houses in Malappuram, 5 in Alappuzha and 2 in Kollam.

Initial information given by NIA is that a meeting was held under the leadership of the leaders to coordinate the further activities of PFI even after the ban on the Popular Front.
