‘Best Actor’ directed by Martin Pakkat and starring Megastar Mammootty is  slated for a release by the 3rd of December . The movie will be light hearted entertainer featuring Lal, Nedumudi Venu, K P A C lalitha and Sukumari in important roles.

Mammootty plays the role of a teacher whose only desire is to become an actor. Kannada actress Sruthi Ramakrishnan is the heroine acts as a music teacher in the film.

Best Actor is produced by Anto Joseph and Naushad under the banner of Big Screen Cinemas.Music is by Biji Pal. Ajayan Vincent is the cinematographer. Mammootty’s Play House is distributing the film.

Director Joshy’s much awaited multi starrer film, ‘Christian Brothers’ is slated to release on January 14 next year. The producer of this film, Subair of Varnachitra has confirmed this.

This film features Superstar Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Tamil star Sarath Kumar, Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, Lakshmi Rai, Kaniha and others.‘Christian Brothers’ is scripted by the duo of Sibi-Udayan team. This film is said to take a wide release never seen before for a Malayalam film.

Director Dr Biju’s latest Malayalam film titled ‘Veettilekkulla Vazhi’ which is an adventure drama is complete and ready for release.The director of acclaimed movies like Saira (2005) and Raman (2008) which were appreciated in film festivals like Cannes and Cairo, is presently turning his camera towards terrorist organisations operating in India which recruits young Keralites for their operations.

Prithviraj leads the casting playing a prison doctor. His brother Indrajith plays a Tamilian. Other important characters include Dhanya Mary Varghese and Lakhsmi Priya.

The film was largely shot in Ladakh, Kashmir, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikkamkur, Ajmer, Pushkar and New Delhi by cameraman M J Radhakrishnan. Music is by Ramesh Narayanan.The movie is being produced by B C Joshi under the banner of Soorya Cinema.

Soorya Krishnamurthy has decided to do the  script for the film version of popular play  ‘Melvilasam’.This play created an address for the celebrated organizer as a playwright.

The play which completed around 300 stages worldwide will now be made into a movie by Madhav Ramdas.The movie which  will have an army court as its background would have Suresh Gopi and Parthiban donning the lead roles. Anoop Menon, Thalaivasal Vijay and Ashokan will also be in the cast list of the film to be produced by Muhammed Salim under the banner of Mark Moves.

The shoot for the film slated for a January release, is expected to start this month.
