Jayasurya, who is always behind demanding roles, acts as a paralyzed man named Stephen Lewis. His character enjoys all the beautiful things in the world, while Anoop acts as a man who has everything but no enjoyment. The shooting will begin on August 25th.
Swetha Menon changed her word…?
No, not yet…! Swetha Menon, who said before that she won’t leave the industry after marriage as most other actresses do, have not yet changed her word. She, who was recently married to Sreevalsan, is quitting roles that need more glamorous performances. She won’t appear HOT again, that’s all…!
In her recent film, Rathinirvedam (after the release of which she got married), she was doing a glamorous role. This gained her lot of attention, and also many offers. But, most of them being glamorous roles, she said no.
The question which remains is did we expect this ‘NO’ from her side…?

Superstar Mammukka and young actor Prithviraj, joins again, this time in an Amal Neerad film, titled as ‘ARIVAAL CHUTTIKA NAKSHATRAM’. There is something more… while Mammukka stars as the hero, Prithvi appears as villain, and this is something which we didn’t expect…!!! It was in ‘ONEWAY TICKET’ and ‘POKKIRIRAJA’, both of them acted together, and the latter was a huge box-office hit.
The director cum choreographer of the film, Amal Neerad, is about to prove that, he can also make films without stylish characters from the underworld, who wears jackets, who kills others with loaded arms, and everything else… This one will be a political story based on an incident which happened in the history of communist party in Kerala, and will be totally different from his stylish movies ‘BIG B’, ‘SAGAR ALIAS JACKY’ and ‘ANWAR’.
The movie which is produced by August Cinema is written by Shankar Ramakrishnan, who excelled in the super hit movie ‘URUMI’. Music is by Gopi Sunder, and lyrics written by Rafeeq Ahmed, the same team behind the beautiful songs in ‘ANWAR’.
The senior music director, Johnson Master, due to a sudden heart attack, passed away today, August 18th, 8.30pm at Chennai. The death of this musician has created a gap in the Malayalam music world that can never be filled again…
The career of Johnson began as an assistant to G Devarajan in 1970s. Later he debuted as an independent composer with ‘Aaravam’ in late seventies. Johnson has composed music for more than 300 films, and he ranks second after Devarajan Master, for achieving such a milestone. He bagged the National Film Awards twice and Kerala State Film Awards five times. He had his own style in composing tunes, and his magical touch made the Malayalam music, rich with melodies that are strong with emotions.
Vellathooval, Ardham, Dasharatham, Kireedam, Lal Americayil, Aa Rathri, Mazhavil Kavadi, Mudra, Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, Pooram, Pradeshika Vaarthakal, Unnikrishnante Adyathe Christmas, Utharam, Vadakkunokkiyantram, Varavelppu, Vandanam, Aattinakkare, Pandu Pandoru Desathu, Varnatheru (Radham), Aparan, Aryan, August 1, Kudumba Puranam, Nadakame Ulakam… It’s an end of an era… The music world deeply regrets on his departure…
The upcoming superstar Prithviraj is now in the path of comedy…! The romantic comedy of Prithvi, ‘Teja Bhai and Family’, is expected to hit the theatres on August 26th.
This Prithvi film, with Akhila (Karyasthan fame) in the female lead, is directed by Deepu Karunakaran and produced by Shantha Murali. Under pressure from the theatres in Malabar area, which form around 40 to 45% of the box office collections from Kerala, the release of the film was fixed on August 30th. This was because the theatre owners found that the month of fasting will adversely affect the initial collection from the Malabar region. But keeping apart all the arguments, the distributer Murali Movies Madhavan Nair, decided to fix the release as it was declared earlier, so that the movie can gain a four day weekend.
Well, we can expect a brand new Prithviraj in this film. Will he excel in comedy…? Let’s see…
