The gas cylinder exploded, causing 11 deaths and 15 injuries

Lucknow: At least 11 people were killed when a gas cylinder exploded in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. 15 people were injured. The incident occurred this morning in Mau in Uttar Pradesh. A two-story building collapsed after a cylinder exploded inside the house.

It is reported that the cylinder exploded while cooking the food. According to reports, more people are trapped in the accident area. Firefighters, police, and locals are continuing the rescue operation.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed condolences on the incident. Yogi Adityanath directed district officials to ensure that the victims and families of the deceased were provided with all assistance.

Thiruvananthapuram: Heavy rains and severe thunderstorms are likely in the state till October 16. Thundershowers are likely in Kerala till October 16. The Met Office has warned of heavy showers with thunderstorms on October 13 and heavy rains on October 14 and 16. Rains are likely to be between 7 and 11 cm in one or two places until October 16. Yellow Alert has been announced in Idukki and Wayanad districts on October 14th and Idukki, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts on October 16th.

Meanwhile, rainfall was recorded in several places in Kerala and Lakshadweep. The highest rainfall in Punalur, Kollam, is 10 cm. Heavy rains were experienced in several parts of Malappuram, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Kannur, Kasaragod, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts on Saturday.

Terrorists attack mosque in Burkina Faso; 16 deaths

Augadaugavu: An attack by assailants in Burkina Faso killed 16 in Africa. Many injured in the accident. The attack occurred on Friday evening. The attack happened in a Mosque in Salmossi.

The attackers entered the mosque and opened fire. 13 killed on the spot and three killed in the hospital. The injured people are in critical condition.

SBI cuts deposit interest rates

Kozhikode: Country’s largest bank SBI has cut interest rates on its savings accounts. The interest rate of 3.5% per annum has been reduced to 3.25% if the account has a balance of Rs. 1 lakh.

Interest on fixed deposits for various periods has also been reduced. The interest rate on fixed deposits for one year to less than two years has been reduced by 10 basis points. It will come into effect from October 10th.

The interest rate on deposits of over Rs 1 lakh in a savings bank account was already linked with the repo rate. At present, it is 3%.

The interest rates on SB I Accounts and Fixed Deposits were reduced due to liquidity crunch.

The bank has also reduced interest rates on its marginal cost of lending. Interest in all periods is reduced by 10 basis points. This will be the fifth time in the fiscal year 2019-20 that interest rates will fall.

Drones found in Indian-Pak border: Alert issued

Ferozepur: Drones have once again found in the Indo-Pak border in Punjab. The drone found at the border checkpoint at Hussainwala in Ferozepur has raised concerns for security agencies.

It has arrived in the Indian border five times on the Pakistani side. Officials say the drone once crossed the border. The drone first arrived at around 10 pm. As soon as this was noticed, BSF jawans informed the chiefs.

Then there was an extensive search in the area. The searches were conducted to find out whether arms or ammunition had been brought to India by terrorists using drones.

The arms were transported from Pakistan by drones over the Punjab border a week ago. In this case, the authorities are on high alert.
