Chennai: Actor Rajinikanth support Citizenship Amendment Act. Rajinikanth responded that the protests against the citizenship law were politically motivated: “Students should not be an instrument of religious leaders and politicians. The national citizenship register is essential to the country. The response came after senior leaders of the party invited Rajinikanth to the BJP.

The Income Tax Department had terminated tax evasion cases against Rajinikanth following the direction of the Central Direct Tax Board. The Income Tax Department was behind the move by BJP leaders to invite Rajinikanth to the NDA. Since 2002, the Income Tax department has ended tax evasion cases. The action was taken following the direction of the Central Direct Tax Board, which did not want action in cases of less than Rs 1 crore.

Rajinikanth had reported earnings of Rs 61.12 lakh in 2002, Rs 1.75 crore in 2003 and Rs 33.93 lakh in 2004. Following the raid on his residence at Poise Gardens, he was fined more than Rs 67 lakh. The Income Tax Department had filed an appeal in the Madras High Court challenging the trial court’s order. This appeal was withdrawn by the Income Tax Department. This was followed by a decision to suspend the tax evasion cases imposed in 2007 and 2012.

They are also looking into whether they can use the existing single / multiple entry visas to travel to India. However, the existing visa is invalid and new ones must be applied through the Embassy / Consulate.

India has suspended online visa services for Chinese nationals and foreigners in China. The Embassy announced on its official Twitter page that following current developments, travel to India with an e-visa has been suspended and will apply to Chinese passport holders and foreigners residing in China. Visas have been revoked immediately following this procedure.

New Delhi: Union Budget announces 100 new airports by 2024. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said this would be aimed at incorporating the UDAN program, which was designed to boost the domestic aviation sector.

 Nirmala Sitharaman said that Rs 27,300 crore has been allocated for the development of the commercial and industrial sectors. Nirmala said solar panels would be installed at the site of the railway track near the railway track.

 In the Union Budget, Nirmala Sitharaman announced that Rs 1.7 lakh crore would be earmarked for the transport sector by 2021. It was also announced in the budget that the 11000 km rail track would be electrified. The Finance Minister said more PPP trains would be introduced to promote privatization.

18600 crore has been allocated for the project in Bengaluru Railway. More Tejas trains will be implemented. Nirmala Sitharaman said efforts were on to bring in private investment in the railways.
