Geneva: World Health Organization announces global health emergencies as coronavirus spread the World Health Organization (WHO) head Tadros Adan Gabrielos said in Geneva that the virus was spreading outside China.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths due to disease in China has risen to 213. The vast majority of the 9700 confirmed coronavirus cases worldwide are in China.

The disease has been diagnosed in 20 countries outside China. The World Health Organization included India in the list of countries affected by the disease. A Malayalee student who had just returned from Wuhan, China, has been listed on the back of a confirmation that she was ill.

The student is under observation in the Isolation Ward of Thrissur Medical College. The girl’s condition is not critical. The world continues to be vigilant following the coronavirus. About 800 are under surveillance in Kerala alone.

18 people in Kasargod on suspicion of coronavirus infection Eighteen people, including students from China, came to the Kasargod General Hospital.

Blood samples were sent to Thiruvananthapuram for suspicion that one of the children had contracted coronary artery disease. Hospital officials said they had to be extra cautious. Meanwhile, no coronavirus has been reported in the district.
