New York: Secretary-General Antonio Gutierrez has announced that all United Nations employees in the United States will be allowed to work at home or in a safe place in the wake of coronavirus cases, until April 12.

The UN spokesman said the action was taken as part of preventive measures after consultations with senior management, medical directors and the secretary-general. The decision will be applicable from March 16. The Covid- 19 ha been confirmed to Philippine’s diplomatic envoy to the United Nations in New York.

UNICEF’s headquarter’s also instructed to shut earlier. The decision was taken after three of the employees were affected by the Coronavirus. In New York City alone, 154 people have been diagnosed with the disease.

Jaipur: At least 11 people killed in Jodhpur accident. Three people were injured. The accident occurred in the Sherga area of Balotra-Phalodi highway on Saturday.

Eleven people, including a child and six women, were killed in the accident. Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene. Efforts are being made to use the crane to rescue the victims.
