Kochi: The High Court on Wednesday ordered to arrest accused who were acquitted by the trial court in the Valayar case. The government and the mother of children appealed against the trial court’s order. The High Court said that the accused should be arrested and produced before the trial court and, the trial court should give bail on this case.

The trial court earlier acquitted four accused in six cases, finding that the prosecution could not prove the charges leveled against them.

The government appealed against this. The government appealed, citing lapses on the part of the investigating team and the prosecution, and that the trial court erred in noting even the strongest evidence.

Idukki: The KTDC hotel which British resident and his team stayed, kept under observation. The move comes after the British citizen diagnosed with Covid 19. The authorities kept everyone in the hotel under surveillance, including residents of the KTDC Hotel in Munnar. A meeting of senior officials was held, chaired by Minister M M Mani.

It is reported that nineteen members of the group, who have been diagnosed with the disease, are coming to Kerala this month. They arrive in Munnar on March 10. Following the symptoms, including severe fever he was admitted to the hospital and, he is being kept under observation.

But only he and his wife were on probation. The rest of the group visited different parts of Munnar.  In the first phase, efforts are being made to find out the route map of British citizen.

The group had left the hall last night but the Munnar collector said they had received the information only this morning. The collector also said that action will be taken to inquire into the failure of the hotel authorities.

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan convened an all-party meeting to discuss issues related to coronavirus infection. The meeting will be held at the Muscat Hotel, Thiruvananthapuram at 4 pm.

Earlier, the meeting to be held to discuss matters regarding with the census, considering the current situation, the government decided to discuss the Covid-19, reports said.

Thiruvananthapuram: As three people affected by Covid-19 in Thiruvananthapuram, the District Collector issued high alert in the Varkala, reports said. The people in the state capital were informed that no to outside in the wake of the Covid outbreak.

The people suspect with the disease should inform the health the department, District Collector, K Gopalakrishnan said.

Places which the people gather, like Beaches, shopping malls, parks, beauty parlor are also will be shut in the Thiruvananthapuram. An Italian citizen, Thiruvananthapuram natives arrived from Italy and Britain is affected by the Covid-19. With this, the authorities forced to impose the alert in the city.

The Italian citizen confirmed Covid-19, located in the Varkala resort. He was under observation of the medical department.
