New Delhi: The Delhi High Court today denied bail to arms dealer Christine Michel in the Augusta Westland helicopter scam. Michel is facing trial in the Augusta Westland VIP helicopter deal. The verdict was delivered by Justice Mukesh Gupta. Michel was denied bail by a court Tuesday.

Michel sought bail in Tihar Jail after he was found to be infected with the coronavirus. But the court observed that Michel had been housed in a separate cell.

Kochi: Noted music director MK Arjunan Master (84) has passed away. He died at his residence at Palluruthy, Cochin, due to old age problems. The funeral will take place at Pulluruthy Cemetery at 2 pm today.

MK Arjunan made his debut in 1958 through theater. He made his film debut in 1968 with P Bhaskaran’s ‘Karutha Pournami’. He has composed music for over 700 films and professional dramas so far.

He received the state award for the best music director in the song of Bhagyakam directed by Jayaraj in 2017.

AR Rahman debut in the film industry made by Arjunan Master. Rahman has worked with Arjun Master as a keyboard player.

Life insurance policyholders have an additional 30 days to pay the premium

New Delhi: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has granted an additional 30 days to policyholders to pay their life insurance premiums. The deadline for premium payment dates has been extended for March and April, following the announcement of lockdown following the spread of the coronavirus.

IRDAI has already given overtime to pay premiums for health insurance policies and motor third party insurance. The time allowed until April 21.

The decision to grant an additional grace period of 30 days was taken after a discussion by the Life Insurance Council and Life Insurers. The decision comes after the teams aware of the difficulties faced by the policyholders due to the three-week lockdown and the social distancing.

Air Asia India plans to reserve air tickets on April 15
