Vijay P Nair has been arrested for posting a video abusing women on YouTube

Thiruvananthapuram: Police have arrested Vijay P Nair for posting a video insulting women on YouTube. He was taken into custody from his house in Kalliyur. The case was registered under sections 67 and 67A of the IT Act.

Police searched the lodge where he was staying but could not find him. He was then taken into police custody from his home and taken to the Museum Police Station.

The arrests were delayed due to weak provisions in the earlier charges. His Ph.D. was also found to be fake.

The state is likely to receive heavy rains for three days from Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of heavy rains with thunderstorms in the southern states of the country for three days from Tuesday.

The Kerala-Tamil Nadu border region, southern Karnataka, northeastern coast of Andhra Pradesh, northeastern hilly region, western Telangana, West Bengal, and eastern Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive thundershowers.

Despite the withdrawal of monsoon, heavy rains continue in many parts of Kerala. The State Disaster Management Authority said people should be vigilant as there is a warning of heavy rain with thunder.

India fully prepared to face China; BrahMos, Akash, and Nirbhai missiles on the border

New Delhi: India sent missiles at the Ladakh border to counter China. The BrahMos cruise missile has a range of 500 km, the Nirbhai cruise missile has a range of 800 km and, the Akash reaches the border. India’s most powerful missile systems have been deployed, revealing that India is fully prepared to resist any move by China.

As the conflict in Ladakh continues, China has deployed surface-to-air missiles in Tibet and Xinjiang with a range of 2,000 km. India has developed BrahMos, Nirbhai, and Akash missiles to counter this. India will use these missiles only in extreme cases. These are capable of targeting airstrikes from a distance of 40 km.

The country has deployed supersonic Brahmos, subsonic Nirbhai, and Akash only to deal with the worst situations. India’s main weapon is the Brahmos. The Indian Air Force’s BrahMos, which can be fired from the air, is the deadliest strike force in the group. China’s missile deployment is not limited to Aksai Chin.

China has deployed missile deployments at various points along the Line of Control (LoC) 3488. BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles capable of hitting targets at a range of 500 km and Nirbhaya cruise missiles with a range of 800 km easily reached the border. Along with these, land-to-air missiles were also developed. These will destroy any enemy aircraft within 40 km.

It is deployed as needed in the Ladakh region. The third stand-off weapon used by the Indian Army is the Aakash SAM, which is deployed in sufficient numbers to prevent any PLA aircraft from crossing the LAC in the Ladakh sector.

Former Union Minister Jaswant Singh passes away

New Delhi: Former Union Minister Jaswant Singh passes away. He was 82 years old. He died in Delhi. He was in charge of the defense and foreign finance portfolios in the Vajpayee cabinet. He has been a four-time Lok Sabha member and a five-time Rajya Sabha member. The Prime Minister condoled the death of Jaswant Singh. Jaswant Singh was one of the most notable senior leaders of the BJP. Jaswant resigned from the Army and entered active politics. He also served as the Vice-Chairman of the Planning Commission.

He had been unconscious for six years after slipping in the bathroom. He was admitted to the Delhi Military Hospital on June 25 due to deteriorating health. President Ramnath Kovind tweeted that Jaswant Singh was an accomplished leader who could easily carry out complex tasks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was deeply saddened.

He returned to the BJP in 2010 but was denied a Lok Sabha seat in 2014 and was expelled for contesting as an independent from his native Balmeer. When the BJP lost to Colonel Sonaram Chaudhary in that contest, Jaswant Singh’s response was that stance was important.

K Muraleedharan resigns as KPCC campaign committee Chairman

Benny Behnan resigns as UDF convener MM Hassan is likely to replace him

Drug case; Kshitij Prasad, director of Karan Johar’s company, arrested

Mumbai: Kshitij Prasad, director of Dharma Productions, owned by Karan Johar, has been arrested in a drug case. Kshitij was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after two days of questioning. Drugs were seized during a raid on Kshitaj’s house.

It is learned that the NCB did not get any satisfactory answers when he was questioned. However, Karan Johar had said that he did not know Kshitij personally and that he was just an employee. This was followed by an arrest.

Abdullakutty appointed BJP national vice president; Tom Vadakkan spokesperson

New Delhi: The BJP has given high status at the national level to AP Abdullakutty and Tom Vadakkan, who left the Congress. Abdullakutty has been made the National Vice President by the party. Tom Vadakkan became the National Spokesman.
