Gold smuggling case; Customs raid on Kims Hospital by CPM councilor Karat Faisal MD

Kozhikode: After taking Koduvalli Municipal Councilor Karat Faisal into customs custody in connection with a gold smuggling case, Kims Hospital was also inspected by customs. Faisal is the MD of KIMS hospital. The Customs Preventive Unit arrived at the hospital around 3 pm and examined him. Customs mainly checks whether the money received from the gold smuggling has been deposited in connection with the hospital.

It is learned that Faisal, who is being questioned by customs in Kochi, has made a huge investment in connection with the gold smuggling. Customs has also received information that Faisal has been involved in the Thiruvananthapuram-based gold smuggling for years.

Kochi: Three more special trains have been sanctioned for Kerala. Chennai Egmore-Kollam Ananthapuri Express, Ernakulam-Karaikal Express, and Chennai-Alleppey Express will be launched.

Actor Akshat Utkarsh was found dead in his apartment

Mumbai: A young actor has been found dead. Television actor Akshat Utkarsh, 26, a native of Muzaffarpur in Bihar, was found dead in a rented apartment in Mumbai’s Andheri area on Sunday night. Police said the actor was depressed as he did not have a job and committed suicide following the incident.

Akshat’s roommate told police that the actor was with a female friend near the Andheri RTO at the time of the incident. According to the roommate, Akshat was behaving as usual on Sunday evening and they talked about various things as usual and then ate together before going to bed, police said.

Akshat was found dead in her room when she woke up to use the washroom around 11.30 pm and she immediately called the police, an official at the Amboli police station said. Police said the post-mortem report did not show anything unusual. The incident took place between 10 pm and 11:30 pm on Sunday, according to the post-mortem report.

However, the family denied the allegations and claimed that the actor’s death was a homicide. Police told media that a case has been registered in the incident and an investigation has been started. After the postmortem, Akshat’s body was handed over to the family.

India provides Dornier to the Maldives to monitor Chinese movements
