New Delhi: The UGC has directed universities and colleges to participate in the nationwide sun salutation (Surya Namaskar) program organized by the National Yogasana Sports Federation on Republic Day. The Federation is organizing a musical sun salutation in front of the Indian flag.

Mumbai: Preliminary investigation report on the explosion of the naval warship INS Ranveer has been released. The explosion was not with weapons or ammunition. The explosion took place in the empty AC compartment of the ship.

Dehradun: Six arrested in Uttarakhand with banned currency. The Special Task Force (STF) raided Haridwar ahead of the Uttarakhand Assembly elections and nabbed them with old notes worth Rs. 4,50, 00, 000.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu today announced a complete lockdown in the state to tighten controls to prevent covid. The lockdown was imposed on Sunday as part of restrictions from January 9th. Police said they would seize the vehicles of those who left unnecessarily.
