Six arrested with banned currency

Dehradun: Six arrested in Uttarakhand with banned currency. The Special Task Force (STF) raided Haridwar ahead of the Uttarakhand Assembly elections and nabbed them with old notes worth Rs. 4,50, 00, 000.

Three of the arrested are from Haridwar and the rest are from Uttar Pradesh. The senior superintendent of the special task force said a detailed investigation into the incident was underway.

Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Flying Squad had seized Rs. 50 lakh from a car during a search in Kanpur.
