Omicron confirmed in 63 more people in the state

Thiruvananthapuram: Health Minister Veena George has said that Omicron has been confirmed in 63 more people in the state. Thrissur 15, Thiruvananthapuram 14, Kollam 10, Ernakulam 8, Malappuram 4, Idukki 3, Palakkad 2, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Kozhikode one each. 4 are natives of Tamil Nadu from different countries. 36 came from low-risk countries and 9 from high-risk countries. 9 were from other states. Omicron was infected through contact with 9 people. Omicron confirmed the contact of 7 persons in Thiruvananthapuram and 2 persons in Thrissur.

Six of the Omicron confirmed in Thiruvananthapuram are students of private colleges. Omicron confirmed that covid had become a cluster after the tour. With this, the college has become an Omicron cluster.

Omicron has been confirmed for a total of 591 people in the state. 401 came from low-risk countries and a total of 101 from high-risk countries. A total of 70 people were infected through contact. There are 19 people from other states.
