Thiruvananthapuram: Up to 14 thundershowers are likely in the state. The Central Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains in the southern districts except for Thiruvananthapuram and central Kerala today.

As part of the alert, yellow alerts have been issued in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Idukki districts.

Isolated showers are expected on Monday and Tuesday but no rain is forecast. Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts will receive heavy rainfall on Wednesday. In response, a yellow alert was issued in those districts on the same day.

Heavy showers are forecast in the southern districts on Thursday. Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts have been warned of heavy rains. Predicts the possibility of isolated heavy rains. The warning said that the state is likely to receive up to 115.5 mm of rain in 24 hours.
