Imran out; No-confidence motion passed in Pakistan

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan has been ousted after a failed plot to stay in power. Imran Khan fell with his camp, along with the opposition, which brought a no-confidence motion citing the economic collapse facing the country.
The 342-member National Assembly needed the support of 172 members. Realizing that mistrust could not be overcome, Imran’s political intelligence was disrupted by the Supreme Court, which dissolved the assembly and went to the polls.
The court overturned the dissolution of the assembly and ordered the assembly to convene on Saturday. With the fall of Imran, opposition leader Shahbaz Sharif is reported to have demanded the formation of a government. Imran Khan has not been able to correct the history that no Prime Minister in Pakistan has completed his five-year term.
