Bengaluru: Because of the tension in Dakshina Kannada, the district administration has directed that all shops and business establishments remain closed from 6 pm to 6 am.

Deputy Commissioner Dr. KV Rajendra gave the order in this regard. The government’s directive to comply with this directive is till August 1. The order came after three murders in the district in the last 10 days.

Hospitals and medical shops will function normally. Others operate only from 6 am to 6 pm. The ban on the sale of liquor will continue from July 29 to August 1 at 8 am in Bandwal, Puttur, Belthangadi, Sullya, and Kadaba taluks. Section 144 has been extended from midnight on July 29 to 12 am on August 6 in Bantwal, Puttur, Belthangadi, Sullya, and Kadaba taluks.

Milk and eggs from tomorrow in Anganwadis in the state

Thiruvananthapuram:  The state government has made special provisions for four lakh Anganwadi-pre-school children in the state from Monday. The menu has been revised to incorporate the Nutritious Childhood Project. It will also be implemented in 33,115 Anganwadis under the Department of Women and Child Development. Minister Veena George announced that Rs 61.5 crore has been allocated.
The state-level inauguration will be done by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at DPI Jawahar Cooperative Bhavan on Monday the 12th. Milk required for the project will be delivered directly to Anganwadis through Milma, the local dairy society, Kudumbashree, and dairy farmers. Milma’s UHT milk will be delivered to 220 Anganwadis in hilly rural areas. Eggs are procured from Kudumbashree Poultry Farms or locally.

Srinagar:  A terrorist was killed in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla. There was an encounter between soldiers and terrorists in the Binnel area on Saturday at midnight.

Irshad Ahmad Bhat, a native of Baramulla Pathan, was killed, army sources said. He is an activist of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that Irshad was an active operative of Lashkar-e-Taiba since May this year.
A gun and 30 bullets were recovered. The army has made extensive checks in the area.
