New Delhi:  SBI with major changes to protect customers from fraud. Now if you want to withdraw money from SBI ATM you have to enter your OTP number. The OTP number comes to the phone number registered with the debit card. SBI has brought these rules because of increasing fraud and cyber crimes.

Method of withdrawing money using OTP

While withdrawing money from SBI ATM OTP you must have your debit card and mobile phone, and enter the OTP received on your phone on the ATM screen, after entering the valid OTP the transaction will be completed.

10,000 or above transactions require OTP

This service will be useful for SBI customers while withdrawing money from ATMs. SBI has brought these rules because of increasing fraud and cyber crimes. Customers withdrawing Rs 10,000 or more in a single transaction from SBI ATMs require OTP to complete the transaction

OTP withdrawal started on 1st January 2020

SBI, the country’s largest lender, started OTP-based cash withdrawal services on January 1, 2020. SBI creates awareness about ATM fraud from time to time through social media and other platforms. It requests all its customers to avail of the service.

India’s first private rocket; Vikram S was launched

New Delhi:  Vikram-S, India’s first privately developed rocket, was launched. It was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The rocket was developed by Hyderabad-based startup Skyroot Aerospace. The name of the mission is ‘Mission Prarambh’.

Rocket development, design and missions are coordinated by ISRO. The launch vehicles manufactured by Skyroot Aerospace are named Vikram as a tribute to Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the founder of the Indian Space Program and a renowned scientist.

Vikram S was launched with three payloads including a 2.5 kg payload developed by students from several countries including India under Space Kids India.

Pilgrimage to Sabarimala; Temporary police will be appointed to control the traffic on a daily wage of Rs. 660

Sabarimala: Temporary police will be appointed in connection with the Sabarimala pilgrimage. The action is because there are not enough policemen to control the traffic. Temporary police services will be available in Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Idukki and Thrissur districts. They are appointed for 60 days at a daily wage of Rs.660.

Ex-servicemen, retired policemen and NCC cadets will be recruited. It has been decided to appoint women as well. The government approved the recommendation of the state police chief in this regard.

KSRTC will also start new inter-state services for Sabarimala pilgrimage. 64 new inter-state services are being operated. An agreement was reached with Kerala-Tamil Nadu for this. Police have made elaborate security arrangements at Sabarimala in connection with Mandala-Makaravilak festivals. The first team of Kerala Police, which is responsible for the security of Sannidhanam, took charge. Sabarimala Police Special Officer B. Krishnakumar gave directions to the first batch of police officers.

ADGP MR Ajith Kumar reminded the officials that the Sena’s mission is to provide smooth darshan and facilities for the pilgrims to settle down with satisfaction. Sabarimala Police Special Officer B Krishna Kumar said that mutual cooperation will make this festive season successful.

1,250 policemen have been deployed in and around Sannidhanam for security. A team consisting of 980 civil police officers, 110 SIs, ASIs, 30 CIs and 12 DySPs is responsible for security.

After completion of 10 days, new officers will take charge. Officers from Kerala Police’s Commando Section, Special Branch, Wireless Cell and Bomb Detection Squad are serving.

As the number of pilgrims increases, there will be an increase in the number of policemen on duty in the coming days. Apart from all this, 76 CCTV cameras have also been installed in Sannidhanam as part of security surveillance. A temporary police station has also been opened at Sannidhanam, Nilakkal and Vadasserikkara.

Thiruvananthapuram:  State Police Chief Anilkanth has issued an order including necessary guidelines for the implementation of a lane traffic system on the Cherthala-Walayar National Highway. The action is on the recommendation of the Petition Committee of the Legislative Assembly, which met to study the lane traffic system.

All district police chiefs should take steps to convince drivers of heavy vehicles including trucks at check posts and toll booths of the need to strictly follow the lane traffic system. The campaign will be launched to convince commuters and drivers about the practicality and necessity of the lane traffic system. District police chiefs will supervise this.

The district police chiefs will take action to convene the meeting of the district road safety council this month itself. South and North SPs in charge of traffic will attend the meetings. The meeting will formulate district-level plans to prevent lane-driving violations.

It has been suggested that vehicles should not be stopped for enforcement of the law. Video cameras, dash cams, and body-worn cameras will be used instead. Number plate recognition cameras will also be used where they are available. It is also suggested that vehicle inspection should not be difficult for the public.

Thiruvananthapuram: Revenue Department Minister K. Rajan has ordered an investigation based on a newspaper report that certificates including income certificates issued by the Revenue Department are being forged.

London:  UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that 3,000 visas will be allotted to Indians every year. He also clarified that visas are issued to young professionals from India to work in the UK. The positive news for Indian citizens comes after the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the British Prime Minister during the G-20 summit in Bali, Indonesia.

The UK is trying to revive plans for a trade deal with India. The British government said India is the first country to benefit from the scheme, which is part of a visa agreement approved last year. ‘UK-India Young Professionals Scheme approved, 3,000 places available for degree-educated Indian nationals aged 18-30 to come to the UK and work for up to two years’ – tweeted the British Prime Minister’s Office after the meeting.

Under the new UK-India Young Professionals Scheme, the government has offered around 3,000 places to Indian nationals aged 18 to 30 with at least a degree to come to the UK and work for up to two years. Downing Street said in a statement that the plan would help strengthen bilateral relations and the economy with India.
