The actor cum director, Joy Mathew came upon an accident on Monday and sustained minor injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital in Chavakkad, Thrissur.
A pickup van crashed into the car of the actor Joy Mathew who was on his way from Kozhikode to Ernakulam.
The occurrence of the accident took place on the Chavakkad to Ponnani National Highway 66 around 11 p.m. The driver of the actor’s car was trapped in the crash and was retrieved by locals and then the actor along with the driver was taken to the hospital.

The Indian railways have temporarily cancelled and diverted nearly 207 mail and express trains under the Northern Railways which are initiating and moving toward New Delhi on September 9 and 10.
The prestigious event the ‘G20 Summit’ is scheduled to happen on September 9 and 10 and will be hosted by India for the first time with several countries’ Presidents and Prime ministers including the US President Joe Biden and others. The Northern Railways has also temporarily terminated 36 passenger mail and express trains including DEMU and others. The important mail and express trains like Tak Express, Delhi Pathankot Express and Haridwar Delhi Express trains are among other mail and express trains that have been cancelled.
The Northern Railways in a post on X said, “Keeping in view the security and other important arrangements for prestigious G20 Summit 2023 in Delhi Area, Railways have made ‘Train Handling Plan’ as under. The Passengers are requested to plan their journey on the dates shown accordingly,”.
The trains have been diverted and cancelled temporarily due to security reasons for the upcoming grant event of the G20 Summit which is going to happen in New Delhi.
In addition, the railway changed the terminals of 15 trains that travel to and from New Delhi, and gave additional stops to 70 passenger trains including the Jammu Tawi-New Delhi Rajdhani, Tejas Rajdhani Hazrat Nizamuddin, and Varanasi-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani at various locations outside of Delhi, and revised the routes of 6 passenger trains.
New Delhi: Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal has been arrested. Naresh Goyal was arrested by the ED in a black money case related to bank fraud. The arrest came after hours of interrogation at the office in Mumbai.
The ED’s arrest in the black money case came after the CBI case that Canara Bank had lost Rs 538 crore by manipulating the loan.
In connection with the case, the CBI raided seven places including Goyal’s house on May 5. The CBI registered a case against Naresh Goyal on November 11 last year. The case was charged with criminal conspiracy and betrayal of trust. Canara Bank’s Chief General Manager P Santhosh filed a complaint in this regard. Apart from Naresh Goyal, complaints have also been filed against Anita Naresh Goyal, Gaurang Ananda Shetty and others.
New Delhi: UGC has said that it is not permissible to print the Aadhaar number of students on degree certificates and provisional certificates. The University Grant Commission has informed the universities about this.
At the time of admission, the UGC has proposed to consider entering the Aadhaar number in the provisional certificate and degree certificate to verify the said documents at the time of admission. The UGC said that recording of Aadhaar number in degree certificate and provisional certificate cannot be allowed and higher education institutions should strictly follow the rules and regulations of UIDAI.
