New Delhi: Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal has been arrested. Naresh Goyal was arrested by the ED in a black money case related to bank fraud. The arrest came after hours of interrogation at the office in Mumbai.
The ED’s arrest in the black money case came after the CBI case that Canara Bank had lost Rs 538 crore by manipulating the loan.
In connection with the case, the CBI raided seven places including Goyal’s house on May 5. The CBI registered a case against Naresh Goyal on November 11 last year. The case was charged with criminal conspiracy and betrayal of trust. Canara Bank’s Chief General Manager P Santhosh filed a complaint in this regard. Apart from Naresh Goyal, complaints have also been filed against Anita Naresh Goyal, Gaurang Ananda Shetty and others.
