Thiruvananthapuram: Isolated heavy rain is likely in the state today. Orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts. Officials advised people to be very careful in the hilly areas. Yellow alert has also been issued in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal intensified and became a low pressure. At present, the low pressure is located over West Bay of Bengal off South Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coast.
